The last one could very well change when Oren Burks comes back. They weren’t going to play Morrison in coverage (praises).

i am really eager to see what Oren Burks can do. Granted one cannot expect much out of him in his first game, but as the season progresses. . .
In the meantime if he can just show talent and not make any stupid mistakes and make a few plays, i'll be more than happy.

Clay needs to go now!!! He learned nothing from last week.

Sorry, I can't argue the call when they called the same thing on Kendricks earlier. Its been the point of emphasis and Clay should know that.

He's lucky the Vikings kicker is unclutch or he'd be the first to get roasted in a barbecue tonight.

It was an absolute crap call and you know it. #1, Cousins still had the ball when he contacted him, it wasn't one of those take a step and make contact plays. #2, he didn't wrap him up and twist to drive his shoulder into him. Kendricks did, it was obvious. Clay had his left arm out too and was around his ****ing waist, not on chest. that call was garbage

clay's call was very suspicious. the ball was still in cousin's hands MOMENTS before clay tackled him. kendricks had clear view of rod's position rather he passed or not.

Well, guess old raptor will be here soon enough to debate all this.

The call on clay this week was total BS.

Last week yea that was clear Roughing the Passer. This week flubbed call on the refs.

He missed several tackles as well. I remember screaming at him a few times early.

I wouldn’t be pissed with 2 pass rushers taken with our first two picks next draft. Our olbs need a complete revamp like our secondary has had.

No problem with Clay. Should have never even come to that play being the decider

Just like the one on Kendrick’s that favored the Packers. Horrible.
I want to see replays of both again. what was the result of the Kendricks play? Just tacked on 15 to a complete play right? It helped. Harder to swallow when it's the game ender INT and they give it back to them and a few more yards.

Here's the call on Matthews. Haven't seen one on Kendricks

I remember Kendricks as taking that extra step, which is fine, but ball was gone and I thought he knew it. his momentum should have taken him over the side of rodgers, but he wrapped up, planted and made sure the shoulder came down in his chest. Matthews' shoulder isn't even on Cousins, it's his ****ing right arm with his left out breaking the fall too. They may have both been terrible, i don't remember the Kendricks one well

Both calls were bad but the Matthews one was worse in a vacuum and way worse in impact on the game. Kendricks did lift Rodgers a bit and land on him - still no way it should be roughing. But all it gave the packers was 10 yards. Not even a new set of downs bc they would have had that anyway with the other 5 yard penalty on the play.

Anyone who has seen any of my points knows how I feel about clay. I don't think he is good anymore but he did nothing wrong on that play

They should just admit it when they screw it up. Trying to tell us what we can all clearly see is rather pointless. If that is how he sees it, then it's time to turn in the whistle

The call at the end of the game was BS, but I didn't see him do much besides that.
So you missed the play on Clark's sack where CM forced KC to pull the ball down and step up into the sack then? Or the 2nd defensive play of the game where CM forced the runner back into the tackler after slowing him up?
Some posters really need to take blinders off and acknowledge the occasional good game.

Yep. I was one of the ones who had a few discouraging words for Clay last week, saying earlier in this very thread that I can't help wondering if he's done. But I also said that Clay is a smart guy and an experienced vet who knows the score and knows what he needs to do turn things around, and that all we can do is wait and see if he is able to do what he needs to do.

And to me, this game looked like a game where he was making strides toward doing exactly that. It seems clear to me that he's really lost a step - he doesn't have the explosive speed or the raw, violent power he used to bring. But today he still found ways to make a serious difference on some key plays, which I don't recall seeing him do last week. I give him credit, and if he can play like this all season, I'll be glad to have him around.

I don't think Clay will justify his big contract, but he can be a useful tool in the mix.

He either takes a big paycut or clears out.

Agree. The calls were equally horrible, but not equally impactful.
