Heck, if I was a Jets fan, I would want the #1 draft position and probably be hoping he misses the rest of his kicks.
I think their crosstown colleagues, the Giants, have that one wrapped up. They have a 2-game lead in the race for the bottom, and since 1 of their remaining games is against the Eagles, I don't see the Jets passing them. But there's a good chance they'll finish 4-13, considering the Bills are up next and Miami may possibly be playing for a postseason position. It could be a Top 5 pick when it all shakes out.

Love what we got with McManus. We’d be wise to go ahead and get him a multi-year deal pronto. I’d offer him top 10 Kicker $ if he proves worthy this Postseason. McManus has been like perfect in Playoffs thus far

Only 2 Kickers have a higher FG% than Brandon’s 93.3%. Plus a bonus 100% XPM %

The only thing we have not seen from McManus that would complete his Portfolio is a pair of 55+ type Kicks. I’d love to see his range in real time

Carlson missed 3 XPA so that erased a FG for me (3 pts) 80.0% Kicker. He does have a big leg (58 yarder)
McManus did hit a 55 yard FG against the Saints. That's always impressive in December in GB.

He sure looks like the answer at kicker for the next 5 years or so. Even his missed FG this year came in horrible conditions at Lambeau. Not an excuse. The guy is just good and reliable.

As for Carlson, yeah he has a huge leg. He also seems to have a chronic case of the yips. GB gave him every chance to prove himself. He didn't. I wonder how long he'll be in the NFL.
No fun being on a 4-11 team. I remember Ryan Longwell, who had a very good career in GB, had his off season in 2005 when we went 4-12. He left for Minnesota the following season.
And he was in MN for quite a while if I remember correctly. I don't remember him going 4-12. He was a good kicker for many years in GB.

The Giants biggest problem continues to be management. They lose Barkley and McKinney to FA and both guys are on pace for All Pro. The working conditions are important. The Jets have the same problem - actually worse.

That was Sherman's last year. We went with a different holder that year.

Greg Joseph just signed to Jet's PS ... my guess is Anders played his way off of another team :( .
I think I'd rather have a consistent Joseph with not a lot of range to Carlson or Narveson with a ton of range but no consistency. And both Carlson and Narveson would miss when there was little pressure. Just weird.

Anyway hats off to Gluten (again) from finding a gem in the dust bin. I'm sure there were a lot of other teams who would have benefitted from McManus, but Gluten did his homework and had the guts to pull the trigger. so far, so good.

Thanks milani. Mike Sherman? Was he coaching in 2005? I thought the Packers went from Holmgren to McCarthy to MLF. Now I'm not so sure about what happened after Holmgren and before M showed up.
