To all you father's out there. Happy Father's Day. A tough and vital job. Be sure to call your Pa if you're lucky enough to have one still lookin' at the grass from THIS side - and hug your kids.

Father's Day seems to be pretty far down the list of days that generate big sales for advertisers - but make no mistake, your presence makes all the difference in a kid's life. :)

Ditto dude. My greatest compliment was overhearing one of my daughter's friends telling her "You got the greatest dad" when I was chaperoning some school trip. Don't recall the exact thing I did or which of them said it anymore.

As far as advertisers, if it weren't for beer, tools, and grills the day would be mostly unnoticed.

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's who contribute to this forum. I'm fortunate to have 2 wonderful children, a son who is 24, and is just finishing up his 6 year commitment with the National Guard, and a 19 yr old daughter who just finished her first year of college. My wife and I have been blessed.

The Greatest Gift I ever Received from God is my Daughter. I owe God great thanks for that gift (and he hears it daily) and while Father’s Day is fun and all that, I pale in comparison to God the Father.. for me it’s HIS Day.
I often witness to others that I am the most unlikely person to be saved. My Father was in Seminary for 3.5 years, until him and another guy got caught listening to a Football game and cheering late night after lights out. They were going to make them retake their Last year of Seninary before eventually being ordained Priests. My Dad dropped out with permission of my Grandpa, he told him to go down and enroll himself in the local Catholic HS. My Mother was elected Mardis Gras Queen her Senior year of HS. She Unexpectedly asked my Dad to be King at a Basketball game in front of a crowd at Halftime. She says he was the “New kid in Town” .. if you will. She saw a humble guy that was always respectful to others, but at a level unlike anyone she had ever met (her words)That resulted in getting married and having 6 Kids in 10 years!!
Well I’m #6/6 and barely made the cut! Thank God for Football!!!! I was a TD away from never being born! Literally

I pray a prayer that all us Dads are blessed like a last second TD today.
