Dallas sends a 1st Round Pick to Oakland for Cooper. I hope he makes it worth their while.
Oakland? They're not going to be there much longer. :) I hear you though, they'll always be the Oakland Raiders to me. Just like I still think of the Colts as being from Baltimore, even though I live in Indiana. Go Pack Go!

Anyway, I hope it blows up in Dallas' face, because I hate the Cowboys. I think it's a good trade for them though, because a proven player should be worth a first round pick, because they can always turn out to be a bust.

As Forrest Gump would say, draft picks are like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get.

Jordy was hoping to go to a contender... unfortunately they might be fighting for the #1 draft pick instead.

Dallas has, in the past, traded for Joey Galloway & Roy Williams.

Those trades did not work out - We'll see how it goes with Cooper.

Yeah, too bad for Jordy. Gruden's having a fire sale. I guess he can sit back and collect his money with no pressure.

Who's the proven player the Cowboys traded for? I thought they traded for Amari Cooper?

One of the reasons I wouldn't be opposed to overpaying a little to keep HCD.

I would definitely be fine with the Packers re-signing Clinton-Dix to a reasonable deal but there's no way they should pay him like an elite safety.

I think it's a good trade for them though, because a proven player should be worth a first round pick, because they can always turn out to be a bust.

It's possible Cooper ends up being a bust for the Cowboys as well. In that case they're stuck with his $14 million fifth year option next season though.

Talk about a desperation move. The Cowboys give up what will likely be in Upper half of the first round pick for a so-so wide receiver with a 14 million dollar cap it. Brilliant. They likely aren't going anywhere this year, and could have gotten a better player a lot cheaper at the position in next year's draft.

The guy pulling the strings has been desperate for years. Just ask the guys doctors who've been pulling the skin back on his face all this time. A guy doesn't build a stadium that big unless he's compensating for something, you know what I mean?

Cooper only counts a little bit over $400K towards the Cowboys cap for this season. Theoretically they could release him before the start of free agency without having to pay him close to $14 million in 2019.

Which would that amount to renting a so-so player for half a season at the cost of a high first-round pick.
