If J'Mon had hands we'd be letting Adams walk I bet. Had suddeness and ran pretty good routes already for a rookie. could go up, good body control, everything looked great until it came time to do the most important thing, catch it.

I
I agree.
Oh I think he had attributes that were positive. However dropping passes for a WR is like not showing up to work.

Adams had a smidge of that but he was initially more up n down .. and it was still more up. I remember saying to our group of guys at Lambeau that (during The Jets home opener in his 2014 Rookie season) Adams was going to be special. In limited usage he had a natural nose for the First down marker. Plus you could tell his body control was substantial, he just needed more targets..and targets he got.

It was Jordy that stole the show that day, Scoring a long TD on a go route on an empty backfield. There was a Jets DT that got ejected and booed out the stadium as he waived at us which was hilarious! .. ironically he got signed by GB a few seasons later for a short stint (Wilkerson?)

Lazard is a RFA he isn’t getting that much I’d almost bet my house on it. He at highest will get a second round tender on him.
According to Spotrac, Lazard’s market value is a three-year deal worth about $23M total. It’s hard to see the Cowboys going up to that mark, but if Lazard ends up getting offers closer to the $5M a year range, Dallas could be very interested.

I dont just spew out numbers lmao

Oh I know you don’t, im just saying he is not a UFA and I don’t see someone giving a second rounder for him personally.

I’d say with this draft class if someone wants to congrats to Lazard and will suck not seeking him around.

I like Lazard. He’s kinda a poor man’s Jordy. I’d tender him if needed.
I have a feeling someone else might overpay for MVS and I’m not interested in a bidding war with him.

I’d really like to draft a Day 2 WR who in the mold of a McClaurin that can compliment Adams.
Draft Prospect, Jalen Tolbert is a guy leaning in that direction.

And they need a QB to play in 2 years. If he has potential they should keep him, if he doesnt others know it snd nobody will give you diddly for him.

It's entirely possible Rodgers will play for more than two years with the Packers.

I’d rather have an aging Cobb and he’s lost a step.

If MVS is getting offered more than $5 million a season I prefer to have Cobb on a reworked deal as well.

The Packers haven't tendered Lazard so far. Therefore it's possible he will be an UFA on Wednesday. Even if they only put the first refusal tender on him it's possible another team signs him to a deal averaging $5-6 million a season. In that case there's no way the Packers should match it.

Concur on Lazard, I'm still hoping we see like a $6M two year deal with like $2M hit in 2022. Save money actually compared to the tenders

If GUTE and company thinks this is at all headed to an ugly place - call the Raiders ask for a 2nd and either Hunter Renfrow or Bryan Edwards - then go sign Allen Robinson or Will Fuller in free agency. Cut cobb and tender Lazard. Enter the 2022 season with Robinson or Fuller at #1, Renfrow or Edwards along with Lazard as your #2 and #3 and hopefully an ascending Amari. Also could even add a Day 2 or early Day 3 WR in the draft.

WE CANNOT have this get ugly with Adams. CANNOT.

If Adams is traded you lose Rodgers too imo, he hasn't signed his new contract yet for a reason.

Rodgers is coming back. He is a ton of things, but he won't directly say one thing and then do opposite. That isn't happening.

But what has he really said? He said he's coming back but he hasn't said for how long, and he's disputed reports that a deal has been agreed upon. Articles coming out saying they're still negotiating with Rodgers.

He could always come back for the final year on his deal and say I didn't lie, all I said was I'm coming back. Not like he hasn't played word games/lied before (immunized).

He has stressed through Pat (his mouthpiece) that it will be a cap friendly deal. Now to be fair, he could just shave $5M off his current and argue "cap friendly" in that it lessoned....I highly doubt that though.

Gonna be interesting.

LOL... better get buys restructuring the rest of the team and cutting anyone who won't. Should have just cut them both loose.

LOL....Was this an intentional slip by Ian at the end, or just how he feels about the Packers right now?

"This situation that has kind of been boiling under the circus....um surface..."
