No need for a top tier TE as long as Rodgers is the QB. He doesn't throw the ball very much to the TE.

Look what Brady bunch has been doing over the years with his TE.

Any time he needed a clutch play you could Bank he is looking for his TE because if you have a stud top notch dude at that position it creates a lot of problems for D#.

Hight+weight+arm lenght+wingspan+softhands+yakyards potential etc etc..
I would say a premier TE is just as crucial as 2 great Wideouts because they will all feed of off each other.
Then you combined that with 1-2 punch running game and solid D# and we can take on the KC, Buffalo and anyone else and have a legit shot at taking it all.

If we are serious about going to and winning SBs we need a stud TE not a mediocre one.

Tonyan, who I consider an average TE had a great year in MLF's offense in 2020. While I would love a Travis Kelce or a George Kittle, the TE in MLF's offense needs to be a great blocker and someone who can get open. I would take a legit #2 WR to pair with Davante and Tonyan back.

Look at Tonyan's number of receptions and targets in that great year. Even though he was having success those numbers were low, very low compared to the guys you referenced. AR does not throw very much to the TE.
