The reason I didn't give him an A, it took him half the season to start showing who he was. From about week 8 or so on, most definitely an A.
As is often the case imho, it took the coaches that long to play him.

Morgan an F ( Incomplete) I disagree with. He was splitting time with Rhyan until he went on IR, I can see a D/ Incomplete, since he couldn't outright win the job from Rhyan, before the injury, but an F seems harsh.

The other thing that stood out to me was that you gave a D to King, who couldn't get off the Practice Squad, and F's and D- to players who were, for the most part, members of the 53, but mainly Inactive for games. For as healthy as the OL was most of the season, it was difficult for Glover and Monk to get any playing time, other than in the Playoff game at Philly, when guys were dropping like flies.

As for Lloyd, I would just give him an incomplete for the issues he had for the year, no letter grade at all.
Again, I'm rating the "draft pick" by Gute. King was a late 7th round pick. Had he been picked in round 1, he would gave gotten an F-

So for me, the round or investment in a player by the Packers, definitely influences their grade.

Alfred Collins iDL needs to be on everyone’s watchlist for the Packers. He can absolutely play 1tech but doesn’t have to live there if needed. His arm length is insane, his build and frame could easily be heavier if needed and he might be one of the most put together consistent known commodities in the DLs likely to go top 75.

Top 75? Wow, thanks Ill keep a watch on this guy.

Another subject slightly related. Did the Eagles pick ahead of the Packers last year? They have DeJean and he was mocked to GB a few times. The guy can ball as he showed last night. Just curious.

DeJean didn't go till the second round so he made it by all 32 teams I'm fairly certain or close depending on teams without a first rounder.

Both of you guys are right. Grading him on production, a B+ is spot on, only because he didn't play for half the season. Looking at total season production, he was non-existent for a long time, and then when they played him, he was a star.

Grading him as a draft pick? That's a lot more subjective and will take at least 2 more seasons. I'm not crazy about grading drafts until these guys get 3 seasons to produce. If Cooper and Williams keep up their current pace, they'll grade out just fine.

DeJean was mocked to GB in a few pre-drafts. And he can flat out ball. Cooper and Williams are having the same impact. I expect they'll be even better next year.

Now I remember, thanks. Some early drafts had him going earlier and he slid to round two. Helluva player. Thanks.

While watching the Philly DL win that game last night I was thinking Walter Nolen in the first or Collins in the 3rd is probably no longer going to happen. It's a copycat league and IDL value rose last night.

Eh yes and no, Collins in the third I strongly feel is already a pipe dream, but I'm a little more bullish on him. The crazy thing is Philly didn't hardly rush Mahomes at ALL but just put forth one of the more pressure dense games ever in the history of the Super Bowl.

Late in the game it was stated that Philly had not run a single blitz. Pressure was all from the front 4. Chiefs OL wasn't bad, or so I thought. But they got obliterated at the LOS. Mahomes normally weasels through the traffic and gets something to Kelce for a big gain. Not sure who was covering Kelce but they sure shut him down.

The biggest issue KC did IMO was they refused to run against the Eagles early...they were one dimensional and then when they wanted to try to not be the game was too far out of hand....the Eagles front needs ran at to keep them honest of their responsibilities....when you let them just pin their ears back though that front may be one of the best pressure producing fronts there has ever been.

I read today that the Eagles got to Mahomes with four DL, rarely blitzing, and that is amazing. That allowed the Eagles to drop seven into coverage. Mahomes, as great as he is, had no chance with that D.

And yes, any D can rush four and drop seven. That's just a strategy. What we saw last night was that strategy executed to perfection by Fangio and his players. I've always believed that the best Ds win SBs. Yeah the Eagles put up 40 and Hurts is the MVP, but the D was the difference. Too bad an MVP-like award can't be given to a group because Philly's D certainly earned one. Six sacks with four rushers. Just unreal execution and athleticism.

And credit to Siriani (sp?) for completely reversing the heavy use of the run game. Barkley was a non-factor as Hurts accuracy and the WR routes were near perfect. Reminds me of the 85 Bears' SB win where the Fridge had a rushing TD and Payton had none. That was another game won by a dominant D.
