I dunno how much grain there is to go against. Maybe we need a poll.
Seems like every other poster listed that call as a dud.

Well, while watching it live, I literally said to a friend that I admired the call, but considered it a mistake... BEFORE the ball was snapped.Seems like every other poster listed that call as a dud.

My poll currently shows 1 vote for "Go For It", none for the FG. What grain?Seems like every other poster listed that call as a dud.

The coils are to keep the field from freezing in to a solid block like asphalt. The ground is not frozen, just muddy. Ask any area farmer. Players were slipping on a muddy, wet turf. Wonder if the plastic woven into the grass affects that.I thought the packers had a coil system under the turf to control slipping in this kind of weather, anyone can educate me on this.
It was similar last year, pretty good when it’s warm, started cooling as the weather did.I sure hope Mennenga is not getting into the kid's head.
He said he would call a diff playI will go against the grain here-- I applaud Petals for being aggressive and going for the touchdown. I blame the execution, not the call.
I think it’s too much artificial with real or something, footing has been an issue all year here. Snow late obviously I’d expect it, but by now you think they’d have the footwear thing down on their own fieldThe coils are to keep the field from freezing in to a solid block like asphalt. So far, the poll is about what I expected, split about 50/50, as much woof as warp in the grain of the fabric. In my opinion there's overthinking in the comments but nonetheless interesting.Have you not read this thread? This is a weird controversy.
Who wouldn't with 20/20 highsight? He said he would call a diff play
There were times that I was wondering whether or not Alexander was in the game. Didn’t hear his name and rarely seen his jersey for the first three quarters.A major pillar of the CAR gameplan was to target Kevin King, and it worked most of the time.

Wonder what the poll would look like if it was taken right before the play was actually run.So far, the poll is about what I expected, split about 50/50, as much woof as warp in the grain of the fabric. In my opinion there's overthinking in the comments but nonetheless interesting.
Or what it would look like now if it had worked?Wonder what the poll would look like if it was taken right before the play was actually run.
Thank you I wasn’t sureThe coils are to keep the field from freezing in to a solid block like asphalt. The ground is not frozen, just muddy. Ask any area farmer. Players were slipping on a muddy, wet turf. Wonder if the plastic woven into the grass affects that.
Looks like everything went wrong in that run. Both LBs had a straight unchallenged shot to our RB. A big clusterfeck of a call.
He said he would call a diff play
At first he he said he'll have to look at the tape to see if it was the right play. Later, he said in hindsight he should have gone for it with a different play which is what anybody would say. No thought of going for a FG; gut call not analytics. He would go for it with a different play call, or he would opt for the field goal?
I’d say they earned it. Still bad play calling though. One more dud for today ....
Jason Garrett
Good freaking god that was stupid red zone play calling giving the Vikes a win they didn't earn
