You think Janis AND Yancey will make the roster over Dupre? No way....if you ask me TT drafted Dupre to replace Janis, and Yancey to challenge Davis(I expect Yancey to win). Janis was supposed to be an actual contributor to the offense instead of just a Special Teams star. With Dupre's pedigree from LSU, I expect Janis cut by Week 3 of the Preseason. Davis won't be any more of a return man so if Yancey can show any type of offensive potential he could make the roster and make Davis end up on the PS, or vice-versa.
Chillax. Read what I wrote above. I still want to see the rookies in practice and get more snaps in. I do think Dupre has great talent, like I said im constantly updating mines. Dont like it. You do yours and we can compare by cut date.

Pretty good overall. I can see either Davis or Janis getting knocked off but as it stands I think Janis has more value than Davis. Janis was also a decent KR while Davis looked timid. Davis will he sent walking if he doesn't improve markedly this year. He was brought in for his speed but it clearly hasn't surfaced thus far. He plays like a He's 4.55 Wideout and he has not adapted well IMO. I think one of our 2 WR draftees will end up on the practice squad.
As far as a surprise cut with Clay in that list. If that happens without us signing another veteran LB were in deep doo doo. I agree we got spoiled with CM3 early career performance and he's slacked off, but we can't afford to lose Peppers, Datone AND CM3 in the same season and add to that Vince with a cracked foot. That doesn't sit well with me at all. We need to acquire more veteran leadership at LB.. going the other direction without an answer is a recipe for a disaster in 2017

I have say that I am more upbeat about this season so far. Especially because TT actually dipped, double-dipped into FA. I like our draft picks for the most part although I am concerned about Biegel's injury. But like someone said, we wouldn't be counting on him much early on anyway. I am excited to see what King and Jones can do to help the defense.

I would not be surprised if Davis got cut. I never was really impressed with him. Last season he seemed so thin, I thought he would break if someone hit him hard. He also seemed overwhelmed when thrown into the mix.

I am rooting for Dupre. I have always been a fan of LSU and I'm from LA so what's not to like. I am afraid that the Janis experiment is over. I was hoping he would finally get it. I sometimes feel that with his ability to run that they should be making plays for him to be successful. And although he has been a very good gunner on ST with the new additions he may be expendable.

This is year 4 isn't it? Jordy isn't getting any younger and Adams is entering his contract year I believe. We could potentially lose both in the same year possibly. The 2018 draft depending on how this season plays out I wouldn't be surprised if we went after the top WR in the Draft. Janis has run out of time. He'll soon be supplanted by younger and more talented WRs.

Adams is a FA in 2018, Jordy in 2019.

Come out player Brian price you will be in ahh should've played last year but kept guion because of his 3 million contract but he can't do what Price can and he's 8 years younger

I think it's way too early to get excited about Price as he played a total of only 10 snaps last season. It's possible the Packers release Guion after the end of his suspension but currently the team doesn't benefit from cutting him now.

I like our draft picks for the most part although I am concerned about Biegel's injury. But like someone said, we wouldn't be counting on him much early on anyway.

Unfortunately with the Packers lacking quality depth at outside linebacker I believe the team at least hoped for Biegel to have an immediate impact. That will be extremely tough for him to achieve by missing OTAs and minicamp.

Not many roster spots open this season, so here is my crack at it. I stood along Oneida and watched the entire first public OTA session, but it didn't really change any opinions that I had so far.

TE- Richard Rodgers, Martellus Bennett, Lance Kendricks
C- Corey Linsley
RB- Ty Montgomery, Jamaal Williams, Aaron Jones
FB- Aaron Ripkowski
G- Don Barclay, Lane Taylor, Jahri Evans

LB- Clay Matthews, Nick Perry, Jake Ryan, Kyler Fackrell, Blake Martinez, Vince Biegel, Jayrone Elliott, Joe Thomas
S- Morgan Burnett, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Josh Jones, Kentrell Brice
DT- Mike Daniels, Christian Ringo, Kenny Clark, Montravius Adams, Ricky Jean Francois
CB- Demetri Goodson, Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins, Kevin King, LaDarius Gunter, Davon House

I don't believe there's any chance the Packers keep eight wide receivers on the active roster.

They may not. I'm fairly sure they will keep seven like they did last year though. I honestly am not sure who to cut at wide receiver, it may take me all four preseason game before I think I know which guy will get the axe. Special teams are very important. If it's seven, I would add another player to the defense.

With the Packers having added Bennett and Kendricks this offseason I expect the team to keep only six receivers on the roster this season.

We shall see. Last year they kept seven receivers and three tight ends. I don't see any reason why that trend wouldn't continue this year. Like I said the last four spots come down to special teams anyway.

I believe the Packers will keep less receivers this season because they have more talent at tight end.

So you think that two 5th rounders get cut in Davis and Yancey? I'd be surprised. I wouldn't be totally shocked if Davis flopped in TC and they just moved on, but Yancey? Hard to see.

Hardest one for me is the WR for sure. I really hope Davis takes a step and can give us a deep threat and some quickness in the slot. I also hope Janis can revert into his special teams ace from two years ago but feel like it's much more likely he just doesn't have it and we go with rookie who've I've seen compared to James Jones and we all remember how much Rodgers loved him.

Yancey isn't the best route runner and isn't great at getting separation. I think Allison & McCaffrey have the size, speed and experience in GB's system to have the advantage over Yancey right now. Injuries and preseason may prove me wrong, but in May yes I can see TT cutting 5th Rnd picks.

We will see what Yancey does in camp-- I'm just saying it seems highly unlikely to me that they'd cut a 5th round rookie. Nothing that needs to be needled to death, just an observation.

As I've mentioned before, while Dupre was selected 72 spots after Yancey I believe he has a better chance of making the final roster.

Just a quick note, I don't think it's possible Murphy makes the active roster and to the practice squad. ;)

I agree that it's rare for the Packers to outright release a rookie fifth round pick but on the other hand with the team having a crowded depth chart at wide receiver it's highly unlikely both Yancey and Dupre make the final roster.
