I’m sorry man!! Lol It’s just cold hard facts haha like I said over a month ago that we go 4-6-1 through the m

im sorry man! lol it’s just cold hard facts.. I mean let’s be real they suck this year something just is off... yeah I agree any given Sunday! But back when they were 3-2-1 I said they were gonna finish 4-6-1 over the games through the Vikings.. they gotta win out to get in.. it’s possible I think if they can beat Minnesota they can turn it around maybe and get fired up otherwise I will stick to my gut pick at either 7-8-1 or 8-7-1 final record.. I can see them choking to atlanta.. this game is defining the season on what they are gonna do.. win then ride it out but lose they are done

You can say that all you want, but it's factually not true. Even if they lost Sunday, there are still a lot of scenarios out there whereby they can get a wild card.

Looking at all the schedules, yes, the Packers do still have a good chance of making the playoffs. They still have a chance of winning the division, although a wild card is much more likely.

I have zero optimism if we get into the playoffs seeing how we have a bigger losing than winning record with them and the way the season is going.
I'd be interested to know how you can maintain any hope at all if we got there.
I already went over this in the playoff section, but tell me other than New Orleans who I still think can be beaten, what team truly scares you if we go up against them?

Chicago? Minnesota? Rams? Cowboys? Eagles? Redskins? Panthers? Seattle?

None of those teams scare me. None of those teams are head and shoulders better than us right now and the way I see it we stand as about as good as a chance facing any of those teams. And I don't think New Orleans is unbeatable. I for one am looking forward to the challenge. Let's say we were to go into enemy territory in The Superdome and we beat them? You think that wouldn't be a good boost in confidence.

The teams that worry me are in the AFC.

Barely beat Bears.
Tied the one with Minny.
Rams, Washington and Sea Chicks beat us in games where 2 out of 3 we should have won.
No, it's not fair and one should not base the future on the past but here I just cannot help it.
We suck. We are lousy this year and our habit it to get to the playoffs and lose.
The only way we have a shot at winning a PO game would be to change the game plan to A-Rod not going for the deep ball all the time. Just chip away at their D for the first downs with short passes.
You can be a homer with blinders on and be as optimistic as you want to. That's fine.
I just can't roll that way.
To keep my sanity I just take it one game at a time, expect to lose and be pleasantly surprised if we win.

Given our propensity to shoot ourselves in the foot, the Packers are the main team that scares me.

Case in point: At halftime in New England, the sideline reporter quoted Bill Belichick as saying that the second half would depend on adjustments. I had a feeling we were in trouble right there, because McCarthy is not known for being good at making halftime adjustments.

One game at a time and I do not for a second believe that a win will turn the table.
It's impossible to know what Packers team will show up.

I understand feeling that way, but this is a week to week league. Anything can happen.

The '01 Rams seemed unbeatable. The '07 Patriots seemed unbeatable. The '13 Broncos seemed unbeatable. The list goes on.

Yep. It seems so long ago now but the Saints looked awful to start 2018. Ryan Fitzpatrick tore their defense a new one and went into New Orleans and beat them soundly, and then they should have followed that up with another home loss to the Browns had the Browns' kicker at the time not choked it away.

Who you are at the beginning of the season is not necessarily who you are at the middle of the season who is not necessarily who you are at the end of it.

It really doesn't even matter who we are or are not afraid of playing, since we don't seem capable of playing a full 60 minute game and poor coaching decisions are generally costing us the close games.

We're below .500, we haven't beaten a good team since Week 1, and we have yet to win a single road game all year, where all our playoff games would most likely be if by some miracle we made it.

It seems a bit silly to me to even think in this context right now. I don't know who we should be afraid of, but I doubt anyone is afraid of us.

I swear if we make the playoffs you had better be the first ones here.

Considering you've been on board for all of two weeks, you probably haven't made many projections, but I figure that, if you do, and they turn out to be wrong, you'll always be right there with a mea culpa. :)

Look, I'd be thrilled if we somehow managed to turn it around and win the Super Bowl in February.
But so far it just doesn't look like this is our year.

Try as I might, can see single thing in that post with which one can argue, even in this forum. Just seemed like too little to just Agree with or Like, so I felt I needed to comment. :)

Can we please stop the silly nonsense now about "who should we be afraid of in the playoffs?"

1) We won't be participating in the playoffs.

2) We should be afraid of any opposing professional football team. Because we suck.

Not any more.

Why do some of you fans somehow think that teams we used to beat easily are still a cakewalk?

Implying that I think that after I just finished saying improbable and unlikely. I get we're losing and in a slump, but don't take me as some naive fool. I simply said we'll see what happens.

You can keep on waiting and see. That's fine.
I'm done with that.
I've waited and see that this team is going nowhere.
Even if we do get into the POs, so what?
Rinse and repeat to lose it again just like all the other times before.

I'm not sure what to tell you then dude. Getting to the Superbowl is tough. That's why the same team doesn't make it there every year. New England is the one exception due to playing in arguably the weakest division and at the time outside of an inconsistent Steelers team, and whatever Manning lead team, there wasn't as much opposition to stop him as compared in the NFC. It's frustrating considering how close we've been to getting to the big dance, I get it man. But again looking at this year comes to show you just how hard it is to get to the big dance. I'm sure people were skeptical back in 2010. That's why the games are played. Good, bad, or indifferent man. At the end of the day there isn't anything we can do to sway the outcome of a game. All we can do is show our support the best way we can, in both the good and the bad times.
