Where the Packers are in the NFC

For lack of a better place to post this.

Remember when Viking fans swore that their cap was in great shape?

current remaining Cap:

23) Falcons $5.78M
24) Rams $4.38M
25) Chargers $4.35M
26) Cardinals $3.87M
27) Steelers $3.00M
28) Patriots $2.49M
29) Giants $2.09M 3
30) Saints $2.04M
31) Ravens $1.52M
32) Vikings $754K

What's even worse for the Vikings is the fact that they currently have $203 million in cap space allocated towards their top 51 players for next season.

We also have a bye coming up so you could say 3 weeks. I like you thinking on the drivers seat at Lambeau, that’s going to be a huge factor.

The Packers better focus on the Panthers next week and don't look forward on facing the Niners after the bye.

Andy Dalton started a season 8-0 too. He is the only QB in NFL history to start one season 8-0, and then start the following season 0-8...

The Bengals started 8-0 in 2015.

With the way the Ravens just downed the Patriots, I can definitely see the 49ers going down when they play them in a week if they run up against that team. If we can beat them, we'll firmly be in 1st place.

I’m not bias and i believe I’m definitely a realist. From what I’m seeing as far as rosters, coaching staffs, and depth.. the Packers are probably the 7th best team in the NFC. You still have to line up and play the game, but we’re going to need 2011-12 Rodgers if we realistically have a chance at playing in Miami for a SB. I just don’t see the talent on this years roster like on other teams. Packers have to stop being so conservative in their approach on improving the roster. Yes it’s gotten better, but they still aren’t aggressive as I’d like them to be. Adding a guy like Tunsil or Stills would’ve done wonders. Instead they go to Houston.

Saints
Rams
Eagles
Cowpies
Bears
Seahawks
Packers
Yours is one of the better agreeable posts, it will be a rough second half for GB, and a short ride hone if the coaches don’t make adjustments and the players don’t play better.

The Niners play at Baltimore in week 13. They will host the Seahawks, Cardinals and Packers before that.

At this point I'd just want to see if we can lock up the division before the final Monday Night date in Minny in week 15. I think we can even with our big game this Sunday and the one in SF.

So here's how I'd say things play out in our schedule and Minny's ideally

Ours

Carolina (H) - W
Bye
San Fran (A) - L
NY Giants (A) - W
Washington (H) - W
Chicago (H) - W

Vikings leading up to the date is

Dallas (A) - L
Denver (H) - W
Bye
Seattle (A) - L
Detroit (H) - W/L .. that game might be bigger for them than they think depending on what happens for Detroit these next few weeks, but probably a W
LA Chargers (A) - L

I could certainly see Minny getting 3 more Ls before that date. Question then would be would the game have a first round bye at stake? Or would we potentially eliminate them if we beat them?

agreed...but i'd make a slight change though...

1. Saints / 49ers
2. Packers / Seahawks / cowboys
Vikings / Rams / Eagles
3. Panthers

You really rate the Cowboys that highly?

The only half-decent team they've beaten till now are the blow hot/blow cold Eagles.

They also have tough schedule ahead with Vikings & Pats coming up plus the mercurial Rams, Lions and Bills which are by no means easy games.

Let's hope we don't have to raise the Panthers to a higher tier this weekend.

As for the Cowboys, they look good on paper. Hasn't always translated to the field. Frankly, I'm tired of hearing about them.

Cowboys are 1-3 outside their division, 0-2 vs NFC. 4 of their 5 wins are division wins. NFCE is 7-16 outside of division.

Looking at the Cowboys schedule, I think that they will go 6-2 down the stretch giving them a 11-5 record. I'm assuming losses at the New England and at Philadelphia. Maybe they'll choke on a game but 10-6 or 11-5 and the division winner. The Eagles are 5-4 and will probably go 5-2 or 4-3 down the stretch, with divisional road games.

they're a very talented team. they floundered early last year too and then reeled off several wins to win their division. they're a flawed tier 2 team too at this point. their biggest flaw is coaching.

I see an easy 4 losses in their schedule if not more. The only gimmee wins I see are the Deadskins and depending on which Bears and Lions teams are waiting at the airport. Rams Bills and Eagles are 3 teams also at their level fighting for a playoff spot. The Queens and Patsies as pencilled in as losses.

I hope that you're right!
I'm a little torn. For whatever reason (and there are many), I've always hated the Cowboys - even more than the Bears and Vikings. So I'm always wanting to see them fail. On the other hand, we seem to have had their number lately, and the Eagles pushed us around earlier in the year. So if the Eagles win the east, we might face them in the playoffs instead, and I'm not sure which would be better for us.

We are Falcons and Seahawks fans tonight....Falcons currently up 13-6 at the half.

Am I the only one scared that the Josh Gordon acquisition by Schneider might propel them to the Super Bowl? If there's one coach who might can mesh with him, it's Pete Carroll. Throw in Russell Wilson and....scary.

Funny I thought it was supposed to be Bellichek who meshed with these receivers.

Also thought AB was supposed to make the Pats offense unstoppable here the way fans were saying.

AB would have probably transformed that offense. Unfortunately, his behavior got him the boot. Can't judge from one game.
