I'm watching the first half of the Packers vs. Dolphins game, and I 'm wondering...where's Jimmy Graham? Has he even been targeted? Where are his targets? No looks in the red zone? Most of the season, he doesn't get enough targets. Even loosing speed, most LBs and many Safeties can't match up with him.

Do you think Jimmy Graham has been utilized effectively?

Is he undervalued by the Packers?

Or is he overvalued?

I would be happy if he could pick up a stinking block. Happy MVS, DA and especially AJ have been targeted.

Run or pass, it never matters unless it works. It’s always the wrong call when it doesn’t :)
perhaps... but it seems that we waste lot of opportunities on those 2ns and short .... the play call is almost always a run.... That would seem to me to be the time to take a shot.

I wish Lewis played more he can block and he can move well for a big guy his age. Jimmy has had enough time to show something.

The thing is Jimmy Graham, at this point in his career, although still a good player is more a Bubba Franks type of TE, he's really just a TALL athlete who can get open and knows how to "get open". He was supposed to be the "Red Zone Guy" for us when he signed. He's not really that fast anymore.

Ironically, MVS and ESB are BOTH 6'4+ and YOUNGER and FASTER. So it's kind of like Jimmy just got "lost in the shuffle"

When he was brought here, we didn't know what we had. We had a SHORT receiver in Cobb and a slow, medium sized receiver in Allison. Both of those guys I doubt will get much playing time coming back. So there's not really a use for him once MVS and ESB have been forced to develop.

But I don't believe he's been a dissappointment, it's just that he kind of brings what MVS and ESB bring at this point, if they can continue to develop.

The Packers are tief for fifth in the league in first down percentage on second down with three or less yards to go. They have run the ball 22 times and thrown it on 20 occasions in those situatio s.

Lewis hasn't been good at blocking this season either though.

On topic, maybe Graham wasn't misused in Seattle either after all but wasn't already that good anymore after leaving the Saints. In my opinion he has mostly been a disappointment this season.

In all fairness all thePackers have the guy running is fades and dig routes. Watch how the Patriots Use Gronk. He runs slants, digs, fades, seem routes, curl routes, outs, option routes, etc.

I don't think Rodgers has much faith in him
F that! favre didn't even know the names of guys he was throwing to but he threw it and they very often caught it. he's choosing to throw balls away when there are guys open a couple of yards away. don't believe me just go look at the rams game again.

Good point. MVS especially has turned into a fast and reliable weapon. Doesn’t hurt that he’s 6’4” tall. Graham has been de-prioritized. That said, I wish he was used more. I don’t know if he’s getting double teamed, but doubt it with Adams out there. This may end up as a one year experiment. He’s taking up too much cap space for his production.

Are we talking about Jimmy the Groundhog or the football player? Since Groundhog day is Feb. 2nd and the Super Bowl is Feb. 3rd, I am expecting to see both that weekend!

From what I have read, Jimmy the Football player and #12 are still "working on chemistry". Seems like we hear that a lot with Receivers relationships and AR. Starting to think that it has some special code meaning.

Wonder if Danica is a Receiver? :whistling:

It's not surprising that Favre didn't know the names of a decent amount of guys he threw the ball to as a lot of them played for the opposing team ;)
