I don't doubt Davante will shake those drops off and just glad they didn't end up costing the Packers the game, that should at least help his mental state. I still like the guy, but those are the types of things that separate the great players from the rest.

Packers aren't in that mess if Adams catches the football in the end zone....both times. I've said it all year...he can't be depended on week in week out. He will tease you with flashes...but he's still just "a guy " if you ask me.

Davante is top 25 in most stats. Google nfl receiver stats and sort however you want. Davonte's name is shown top 25, sometime higher, no matter how you slice it.

25 out of >150 receivers is not "just a guy".

His drop rate is 2%. Odell Beckham is 3.7%. Larry Fitzgerald is 2.3%. Drop'll paddle what?

Some of these posts are ridiculous.

There's no denying Adams had a terrible game yesterday dropping two easy touchdowns. Overall he has performed on a high level this season though and some of the comments in this thread are rudiculous. Hopefully he will be able to bounce back vs. the Vikings on Saturday.

I would imagine dropping two sure TDs leads to this kind of response. Had both been 2nd down drops at midfield, not so much angst. Heck, if not for the 4th quarter fold by the team, probably just a fraction of the concern.

Also, the two drops will just about double his drop rate for the year.

Finally, I may have missed something earlier, but what does the highlighted portion mean?

Adams's play this season has earned him the benefit of the doubt. He'll own it, move on, and be better. I still have the utmost confidence in him.

Julio Jones has a games of 1 for 17, 2 for 29, 3 for 29, and 4 for 35
OBJ has games of 3 for 23, 5 for 49, 5 for 46
Mike Evan has games of 4 for 42, 3 for 38, 4 for 59, 4 for 50
Dez Bryant has games of 1 for 19, 1 for 10, 3 for 40

Maybe they should get benched... Bunch of scrubs.

People over-react about everything. Should he have caught them, of course. Doesn't take away from his year that much though.

To give some perspective.... Going into this week, and Im sure for the most part it still stand true due to him being so much better. Mike Evans (3.9%), OBJ (3.5%), AJ Green (4%), Julio (2.7%), T.Y. (4.5%), Bell (4.4%), DT (4.6%)... All have higher drop rate per attempt than Adams (1.9%).

But does that matter to the Adams' haters? Of course not, because they will jump whenever they get the opportunity. I stand by what I said. Still the most talented receiver on the roster. He had a bad day for sure, but so has Rodgers, Nelson, Lacy, Cook, Peppers, Matthews, Randall, Ty, McCarthy, Clinton-Dix, Burnett, Ryan Martinez, Daniels, Rollins... And well everyone that has ever played in the NFL.

Did you see Wilson last week? **** happens.

Human Nature and can be on both sides of the coin. Doesn't matter if you are Davante Adams, MM or Aaron Rodgers.....some will only look at "what have you done for me today?" and others lay back and let the law of averages play out. In regards to Adams, I see a lot of upside with him, especially with AR as his QB, but recognize that there is plenty of improvement he can strive to achieve in his game.

Completely agree. However, dropping 2 sure TDs still earns a little wrath. I'm not advocating his benching, and I recognize that he has superior talent. We are going to need him badly going forward, but let us have our moment of frustration.

Good statement right there. I think sometimes people mistakenly interpret a comment made in a moment of frustration as a blanket statement of your overall feelings about something. While I was visibly and verbally frustrated with Adams 2 drops yesterday, I wasn't ready to kick him to the curb for them. Then there is the Packer fan that I was sitting next to at the Seahawks game, after Schum kicked a high "short" punt that had to be fair caught at around the 18, I hear him say "get rid of this bum, I would rather have Masthay or even Mortell over this guy"......really?

You were at the Seahawks game?! Damn you, would have met up. Had so fun. Think we were in 126 row 27..

Holy crap! That was you! Sorry about spilling the beer on you, but I think it froze before it made it into your boots! ;)

I had great seats, 2o rows up behind the Packer bench smack dab on the 20 yard line.

There is a difference between a moment of frustration and declaring a player total crap. Now to be honest I can't say I have seen that about Adams after yesterday but it holds true for any player who has a down game after being consistently very good. After last year you would have been hard pressed to find a Packer fan who admitted they still liked Adams. This season, up until yesterday, most of those fans had done a complete 180 and now I'm sure a lot of them are back on their original path. Heck, I'm as frustrated as anyone, I started Adams over Brandin Cooks yesterday but I'm not going to get all bent out of shape because a player who has been having a very good year has a down game.

Yesterday DA WAS total crap. He could have lost the season for us with those drops. There are drops and then there are drops. The second drop was so bad I couldn't believe it. Great players make plays at the most critical times. See AR and JP.

Out of the clear blue western skies...
Well, hopefully his bad game will temper him for being more clutch in the future. Everyone needs to play as close to flawless as possible from now on if they're going to make any noise in the playoffs, provided they get there in the first place.

I think Adams is fine for this stage of his career. He's probably going to get even better. I'm not worried about him.

but many will get bent out of shape. They must live on the edge of the cliff day by day. I guess I'm one of those people that doesn't expect perfection from all 46 every game day. There are after all, professional football players trying to keep there opponents from being perfect.

Like when AR went 19/34 178 1TD and 2 INT in the NFC championship game... Scored 22 points total after defense gave him 5 turnovers.

(Before the hate comes flying in, I don't really blame him for that game. Just saying, sometimes you have a bad day. Even the best have bad days, and DA is no where near AR level)

Half Empty - someone keeps calling D. Adams "Droppal Paddlehands". I just didn't feel like typing it all out in my earlier post.

I think the cold had Adams a couple degrees off....

Demarius Randall grew up in Pensicola florida.
Adams grew up in Sunny California.

Makes you wonder if these guys ever felt cold like that before yesterday? That stuff will effect you. I dont care how tough you are.
