Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders. Not exactly slouches. And Julius Thomas.

So he wasnt getting open when there was top tier players on same field ?

One might say -- that's like Adams not being targeted when Cobb and Nelson are on the field?

Welker was targeted 109 times out of 474 pass routes run (23.0%) in 2013, his only other season in Denver when the Broncos had Demaryius Thomas, Julius Thomas and Eric Decker on the roster.

I think it's fair to talk about him declining in 2014.

What were the targets for other players during the same times

Who were other wr at those times?

Example

If he were to come here and on field with Cobb and Nelson -- who who draw the most coverage? Would it be easier or harder for him to get open?

That could have been a huge factor as to why he wasn't getting open- or targeted in your stats
Yeah, D. Thomas and Sanders had 325 targets; that will suck the air out of the room.

Julius Thomas played 13 games / 10 starts and got only 63 targets, down from 90 in 14 games the previous year. Even he was a bystander in the Thomas/Sanders show.

Welker was the #4 target.
