Covid is still very much among us but now it pretty much is forgotten about under Biden even though IMO he has not gotten it 100% under control.
We no longer hear anymore if, say, 300 got infected and 100 died when they went to this large gathering of 5,000 or whatever.
CNN has stopped with the sidebar showing the numbers of sick and dead.
Etc.
the best way to make a problem vanish is to not talk about it.

Another interesting aspect of this hotly debated subject that seems to have been ignored is the efficacy of this vaccine. Has the media talked about if the drug is really working? NO...these companies claim that the effective rate is in the 90% but you have every Packer's players on that list who are vaccinated and also politicians who are adamant about taking this drug being tested positive too, as well as spreading it. If that doesn't raise red flags I don't know what will. What are odds of that? I guess we are supposed to be good sheep(no offense to those who are advocates of this vaccine) and just keep quiet and listen to the "experts?" And people wonder why there are questions concerning this vaccine.
The fact that the number of people that have contracted covid, the number of people that have been hospitalized, and the number of people that have died have all decreased since the vaccines have become available nudge me to the theory that they work.

I don't expect too much out of Love tonight, it is his first taste of real NFL Football, on the road, in the loudest stadium in the World and against a team fighting for their season to get back on the track to where they thought it should have been going. I also hope I am wrong and he lights it up. However, if I am right, I hope people heath the first part of what I wrote and give the guy some slack, until he is given more opportunities to improve. I have no clue when that debate should start, but it shouldn't begin, at least fully, tonight.
He's sat behind Rodgers for a season and a half. And he has LaFleur's schematic ability on his side. I'm not saying he has to go out there and light it up, I'm just saying he needs to be capable of showing promise.

Unlike a lot of young quarterbacks that struggle, Love is on a damn good football team with a lot of things that will be working in his favor. This isn't the Zach Wilson with the Jets or Trevor Lawrence with the Jags.

Interesting points and takes on this current society that I tend to agree on mostly.

Since you mentioned politics and how divided we are I like to touch on another issue pertaining to this Covid debate and how related it is to politics. Let me introduce you to Kamala Harris and how she adamantly said she would not take Covid because she did not trust Trump but would take it if Fauci approved. That right there just shows you how sinister some of these politicians are that we are supposed to look up to to lead this country. Another interesting take on Aaron's interview is how he stated that the left flipped on their Covid vaccine stance once Biden became president. Another thing to ponder and tell you how divided we are. I know this will set off some raging debate about politics but it's all relevant.
Regarding Harris .. yeah, empty suit for the most part but I agreed with her sentiment. I wonder how many of the 50% would have chosen to be vaccinated had 45 not laid the groundwork that he did before getting vaccinated?

The real question is this....

Do the Packers start Jordan Love next Sunday against the Seahawks, even if Aaron Rodgers is activated and cleared to play? I mean, Love will have gotten all of the reps in practice.

I know it's Aaron Rodgers, but still it's not an unreasonable thought.

That is an interesting statement. Does it apply to the person where this all began, Aaron Rodgers? Also, in this particular situation, where and what is the misinformation that is being circulated by the media?

I understand your concerns and in many situations you are correct, but yelling "fake media", anytime a discussion gets uncomfortable isn't always the answer either.
Absolutely, but I was referring to all of the kooks that have a microphone and call themselves journalists.

While I agree with the fact that he should know the playbook and he should sort of have established some chemistry with the offense, practice and/or preseason games don't come close to what he will be doing/seeing tonight. Not to mention the pressure that was created due to the circumstances surrounding not just this week, but ever since Love was drafted by the Packers. One would like to think that having some quality players on offense around him will help offset his inexperience, but I don't think it will fully makeup for it.

You are correct, Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson, Justin Fields and 100's of other rookie QB's that haven't fared that well could point to the offense and say "I wasn't working with much". However, I think it goes way beyond that and it comes down to the talent and skill level of that QB, as well as his experience. Maybe if Love had to play the rest of the season, with these same guys on offense, we would start to have a decent idea of what we have by game 6 or 7.

Yes. Yes, they start #12 if he is cleared.

The NFL might weigh in on that ;)

If Rodgers is able to play, unless Love plays like the second coming of Jesus, I don't know why you would start him and not Rodgers on a 7-2, 8-1 or 7-1-1 team. Rodgers is a skilled vet, 10 days off isn't going to make much difference in his level of play, might even help it.

Like I said, he just needs to show promise.

That's an eye test thing for me. I'm not saying he has to light the world on fire.

No doubt, there are journalists that range from downright pathetic to excellent. Also, depending on the topic, you may find their viewpoint to fit along any of "your" scale and it might change. However, it is up to you, me and everyone else to decide where we get our information and what we do with it. I was just pointing out that ever since "Fake News" got to be a catch phrase for people who didn't want to believe a differing viewpoint or in some cases facts, people have overused it to death and even worse, they have used it in an attempt to cover up the truth.

Agreed. But your idea of "showing promise" may be very different from others. I don't expect a whole lot from Love tonight, but I also don't expect him to look quite as bad as Hundley or Kizer did in their starts. If he does happen to look that way today, I won't declare that he was a failed pick, but a guy that might need more time/reps.

Better hope he figures it out quick though because he'll probably be QB1 next September.

I see that you gave your avatar an upgrade to show your feelings on the matter.
Yes...."Forget Favre"....I have. ;)

Like for sporting events.
Covid is still very much among us but now it pretty much is forgotten

Yes it is still very much among us and I don't know how you can say it has been forgotten, based on sports attendance? Prior to the vaccine, quite a few people chose to stay away from large groups. Whether you made that political or not, I guess that would depend on your viewpoint. I did it based on what I read and heard from medical experts, not politicians. I did it because I didn't want to get sick or get anyone else sick, with a virus that was randomly killing people that you wouldn't expect to be killed by it.

More than one year later, greater than 58% of the population in the US has been fully vaccinated and approx. 68% have received one stab. People, at least where I live, are still very much aware of what is going on. People are still wearing masks, washing hands and social distancing. They are doing this whether they are vaccinated or not, whether they are on the left or on the right of the political spectrum. All that said, I am still worried that I might catch it or spread it, but I am a bit more confident in the fact that I am vaccinated and the facts say, that improves my chances of surviving it if I do catch it.

All personal insults, political attacks and threats against our core belief system aside.. :whistling:
Is anyone else excited about this game?
I can’t wait I just enjoyed Dallas getting a thorough beating.

It is looking that way more and more. A week ago, I was starting to think that Rodgers was having a lot of fun this season and after he stated that the FO has improved, I thought "hmmm...maybe there is hope for life with Rodgers beyond 2021. After this latest incident, all that ground that was made up, might have been lost, at least when it comes to fan and media impressions of Rodgers in GB.

If the Packers do decide to trade him this offseason, I also think this incident has probably reduced how much the Packers would get for him in a trade.

There is a Packer game today? ;)

I just came back in after spending some glorious time outside in the beautiful sun. I saw the Cowboy score and LMAO.....now I am watching the Vikings attempt to tie with the Ravens.....damn.....is it that the Ravens aren't that good or the Vikings aren't that bad?

It's always nice to see the Cowboys get throttled
Hey if you’re gonna get beat bad? Do it week 1 and don’t wait until mid season form to show off.

Vikings left too much time. They’ll get beat by a FG with :03 on the clock.
