Disagree.. coaches can easily say that if the ball is in the end zone you are not bringing it out. He wouldn't have brought it out had that been done (right??).That's on Montgomery. Coaching can't fix stupid.
Ty threw away the game trying to be a hero. Why is he even still on the team? He hasn't been relevant since Jones and Williams have been on the team. A garbage descision...I will gladly stand corrected if they happened to beat them.. but in all honesty I have a better chance of getting it in with my wife that night vs Green Bay winning
I know better and I'm an idiot.
Sure they do. From pee wee football on up the coach gives instruction, especially in key situations. Especially at that level where the assistant coaches and their assistants are paid bundles... and during a game that’s pretty much their primary function. Players are in the game, driven to take the ball and make something happen, especially professionals. It’s the coaches job to keep them focused on what needs to happen.A coach shouldn't have to EXPLICITLY tell a player not to do something that is OBVIOUSLY a stupid decision.
What, should Mike McCarthy have to tell Rodgers on every play "Don't throw an interception." ??

So, they went with Whitehead at ILB. Or you could call it dime with a box safety which is a distiction without a difference. He looked a little lost out there, the one negative in an excellent defensive performance.Well, using ESPN tackle stats and Football Outsiders snap counts, Burks has managed 1 tackle per 5.8 defensive snaps compared to 7.5 for Martinez.
Having started the season injured, Pettine has been gradually working him in with the following defensive snap %'s for the first 6 weeks, respectively: 0%, 0%, 13%, 34%, 40%, 49%.
If the qualifications are speed to the sidelines and to stay with a back in coverage, who else ya got?
Whitehead is a possibility. Clinton-Dix is at a 100% snap count, Brice at 99.7% and Whitehead at 34.4%, so Pettine has used 3 saftety sets over 1/3 of the time with Whitehead taking a fair amount of the snaps in the box in hybrid ILB mode. Whitehead's highest snap counts were in week 4 (67%) and week 6 (47%) while being inactive in week 5 (questionable-back issue).

I will take it a step further, instruction from the coaching staff should have been 'if the kick is going to carry to the end zone in the air, do not even attempt to catch it'. It is automatically dead and would mean there was no chance of wasting the 2 minute warning (or muffing it, etc.). If Zook tells him that then we avoid this.
Patriots got a coach and a great quarterback. Packers got a coach and a great quarterback.
Patriots win tons of games and super bowls.
I thought they changed that rule this year? or is it they still have to field it, but it's considered a touchback if you don't try and bring it out and don't have to put a knee down to signal it?If Zook would have told him that he should be fired immediately as a kickoff isn't dead when entering the end zone but could be recovered by the kicking team for a touchdown.
The Packers haven't been as successful as the Patriots over McCarthy's tenure but they rank third in the league in winning percentage since 2006.

I still don't believe that we went with a run that close to our own line leading to the touchback. That play turned the game. What a ridiculous call by MM.

I'll settle for a two game self imposed suspension.True, my bad. The league changed that rule this offseason. Maybe I should be fired for posting a stupid reply.
We are gonna get absolutely Coc*ed smoked today!
So instead of admitting that you were wrong, you continue with this nonsense:Lol it’s about to get ugly... it’s just pathetic when u actually play lights out defense first half can’t do jack effing poop and McCarthy is the worst play caller I have ever witnessed he needs to go!!
Do us all a favor and just deactivate. Nothing but trolling at this point.Lmao!! Put a fork in them they gonna lose the next 3-4 games too
