...Also Aaron isn't ready to play yet. He proved that last week in Jacksonville, and we would need a huge jump in his preparedness for me to not be worried about this game...

You're worried about the best QB in the league's preparedness after a somewhat sluggish opener, but are feeling pretty good about Sam Bradford's readiness to lead the Vikings in his debut after just three weeks with the team? Okay.

While this current engaging battle of the stats has been a slice of Heaven to witness, I just prefer letting the two teams decide this issue on Sunday night.

Yeah, seriously. You guys come to a fan message board to discuss a match up and use stats to back up opinions? What a joke. Let's just use this thread to agree that a game is indeed being played on Sunday night, and then we can come back to discuss the final score on Monday.
[ETA: This is Sarcasm.]

Isn't the whole idea of a "fan message board" to discuss things, including opinions? If it isn't, I'm in the wrong place and probably should just visit ESPN or FOX news once a week to hear what the experts are thinking and view the final scores.

Yeah, I was being sarcastic. I thought the final line would give it away, but I'll make sure it's clear.

I get it now ;) Which is why I sometimes like to put a :coffee: after my sarcasm lol For it can be lost on some. Kind of like my going to FOX news, for expert opinions :coffee:

this rival game is so important to viking fans that they are trying to block packer fans from attending by purchasing most of the tickets or selling to other viking fans. :roflmao: curious to see how many pack fans are going to attend. will be lucky enough if we hear any "go pack go" chants. this is going to be a very interesting game!

This will be a huge night for Minnesota in a new stadium. However, we know how Rodgers plays and we know how he plays indoors. It'll be loud and I don't think it'll be easy, no matter who their QB is. I am going to guess and say that Bradford gets the start, but that we win the game. It'll be nice to welcome Minnesota to their new stadium by beating them.

Packers: 28
Vikings: 21

I think the Packers win but the game is going to be low scoring. I would estimate something like 17-10, though the game won't really be as close as that score would indicate.

nelson will have more confidence to go deep and our O will click. Cobb and Nelson being 1 2 are going to be forces to be reckoned with. Adams could be another asset if he doesn't dip his fingers in melted butter before the game. Lacy will have another good game. cook and rogers will probably make some nice catches. rodgers will have more confidence in this season's batch of receivers. if titans can score against one of the best d's in the nfc then we definitely have no problems on O. not worried about viking's o. hopefully we can close the middle on their running game. hopefully martinez is ready!

Apparently Rhodes, Khalil and Floyd all missed practice again for the Vikings

Unfortunately Shields, Hawkins, Banjo and Elliott didn't practice for the Packers once again on Thursday. Davis was a full participant though.

The Tians offense scored a total of only 10 points before getting a meaningless touchdown at the end of the game. Minnesota's defense is a talented unit and the Packers offense has to perform on a high level to produce a decent amount of points against them.

Entering this game I'm concerned about the defense being able to contain Peterson. I agree there's no reason to be worried about the Vikings passing game though.

Shields is the only big one there although our Special Teams could be hurt by the other guys. Hyde is very important depth this week

Shields and Hawkins not being able to play results in the Packers only having three healthy cornerbacks though. Four if you want to include Hyde in the list.

I would count Hyde. Not the worst team to have the cb shortage against

True, unfortunately we will enter the game without any backup best suited to play cornerback though.

Very true. I would still be ok if all their guys out miss if all our guys would have to as well. Khalil is not a good lt but if Clemmings had to start there we would be in great shape.

Zimmer said that he expects all of his non-participants to play this Sunday. Then again, he's not disclosing his QB so I assume that this is a bit of showmanship from Mike as well.

Rhodes being out is the biggest issue for them, same as us. He is their Sam Shields.

Khalil has been playing better after his disastrous second season. He's still not great and can get beat but he's definitely better than Clemmings.

Floyd is good on their DL but Linval Joseph is still the standard bearer. He was missing last year and we still struggled to move the ball. Floyd would be missed but is replaceable because they have good depth all over their defense. Everyone on that defensive roster plays hard for Zimmer.
