Just read the Pack plans to workout FA RB Storm Johnson. Former UCF RB drafted by Jacksonville in '14. He would be a very good #3 for us imo

The Packers regurarly work out a ton of players but rarely sign one of them. I don't think the team is ready to give up on Pressley yet.

Okay, here we go:

Packers 27 Vikings 13.

Viking offense will have a tough time. AR will be more in rhythm with his WRs this week. Look for clay to have a big week and Minny QBs to rethink career choice.

Great work on my part. According to a league source the Packers are expected to release Pressley to promote a player from the practice squad. There are indications the team wants to bring him back next week though.

Seems odd if this is to cover for Shields potentially being out for awhile, since Jermaine Whitehead is the only secondary guy on the PS and he is listed as a safety.

Maybe bringing back Robertson Daniel or a CB from another teams PS or a vet FA? Of course neither of those moves would allow Pressley to be resigned to the PS unless they cut someone from it.

Could we be bringing Devon Cajuste up to the 53? Or Brian Price? We are about to face AP after all.

Price maybe, but I doubt Cajuste is up to speed. Maybe Perillo's injury is more severe then we know and will land him on the IR and they want Cajuste for depth?

My bet is its either of those two, yes. If not those two, I don't see another player on our PS currently that makes sense honestly. UNLESS, as you said above, we are looking at a veteran or a player from someone elses PS.

Also, Cajuste is a Stanford boy. They tend to catch on quick and also, he can split out wide too. Hes one of those new era WR/TE hybrids. We'll see though, LOL

The source specifically talked about promoting a player from the practice squad.

If the source is right I expect the Packers to move Brian Price to the active roster. I don't think the team is considering to bring up Cajuste though.

I haven't heard about Perillo being injured so far.

The Packers currently have 10 wide receivers and tight ends on the roster. There's no need to add another to the 53.

Packers practice report:

Sam Shields, Chris Banjo, Jayrone Elliott and Josh Hawkins didn't practice today. Banjo and Elliott appeared closer to a potential return than Hawkins as they ran sprints at 75% to 80% of their maximum speed while Hawkins, an undrafted free agent, did more gentle movements.

The team, currently having only three healthy cornerbacks, moved Herb Waters to CB during today's practice.

In addition Trevor Davis was limited in practice.

I'm NOT counting this as a win. I don't know if Minnesota's D is as stout as their coach wants it, but it looked hella good last week against Tennessee. Also Aaron isn't ready to play yet. He proved that last week in Jacksonville, and we would need a huge jump in his preparedness for me to not be worried about this. Lastly, as someone who has been a fan since 1981 the one CONSTANT through the good and bad years...Minnesota at Minnesota is never a game I can count us winning.

Then as a fan since '81 you must be aware that the Packers are 18-15 at Minnesota since that time.

The one thing I'm really looking for this game is the WRs. We keep getting told how talented these receivers are. Honestly, majority of last year and week 1 this year I still see the same problems. Seems like receivers cannot create any separation and the route running just isn't too great. If not for Rodgers extending plays and dim making something out of nothing broken plays, these guys won't get open.

There's no doubt the Packers offense has to improve over the course of the season but after mostly resting the starters during preseason I expected the unit to struggle early. I'm optimistic they will perform on a higher level and reduce the miscommunications on Sunday.

Once again, not playing the starting offense during most of the preseason for sure resulted in the unit starting slot. The receiving corps is talented enough to constantly get separation from defensive backs. Hopefully they will be able to prove it this week.

I don't think the Minnesota defense was necessarily good last week, but they were lucky, and sometimes that's even better. However, I don't see that happening against Green Bay.

The two TDs the Vikings D got were because the Titans (Mariota) did something stupid, not because the Vikings did anything special. Green Bay doesn't make dumb mistakes like that very often. Before that the Titans were dictating the game pretty well. Once they were down, they started playing sloppy. Again, something the Packers don't do.

On defense for the Packers, should be pretty straight forward. Without Bridgewater (even with him really), Minnesota is pretty damn one-dimensional. Commit extra people to AP, and challenge Hill/Bradford to beat your secondary. It's what the Titans did successfully, but Green Bay has a better corners and safeties.

The final score might not reflect it, but I don't think this game is going to be very close at all.
