Yup, on any given Sunday...but that is why they play a 17 game season, to determine playoff positions.

Sunday will be a good measuring stick for the Packers and how they stack up against the "best" team in the NFL this year. Can the Packers beat the Eagles? Sure, anything can happen, but the odds are against them.

True and the Packers have made far too many mistakes to deserve to qualify for the playoffs.

As for the Eagles I think the Packers are going to at least be in the game with a chance to win at the end. The fact remains if you have Aaron Rodgers you have a chance despite him having an off year.

Id like to see that old shot play, play action post across the field that Nelson caught seemingly ever time. No one can run with Watson I dont see why we dont run that at least once a game. Should be minimum 3 shot play attempts to Watson a game I dont see what there is to lose

And give Toure the snaps Watkins is currently wasting something good will happen

I see now Rodgers finally admitted his thumb is broken.
He implied it with his statement of.

“I’ve broken other fingers in the past.” “It’s been it's been an issue since the Giants but not an issue that I'm gonna rely on for an excuse.”

So maybe it is broken and might help to explain the Packers losing 6 out of the 7 games after he...hurt it.

In the "NFL Discussions" forum we have an exact score contest every week... I hit 2 exact scores/winners last week (out of 14 games)!! Doesn't happen very often so I won't be betting real $$. Come join in, it's not too late! ;)

Yes. That 63 loss was worse. But that was not a good Viking team in 63. This is one of their better teams....So far.
I watched most of the recent loss and it was a total beatdown. It was on the low level of the Packers loss to Saints last season 38-3?

A couple problems with losing in that fashion is it’s getting later in the season. This is where teams start to separate themselves from the pack and it sent a shiver into that stadium. Kirk Cousins was mugged all day long by multiple Dallas Defenders and it’s like it knocked the wind out of the MN Defense.

Speaking of the Stadium. The Vikings fans were doing a chant pregame that was reminiscent of the Roman Coliseum before a slaughter. Clapping in unison in a very intimidating fashion. I’m not sure? but I think that pre game changing aggravated Dallas something fierce. It’s almost like it inspired them to just annihilate MN. I’m about positive they won’t chant like that again this season! :whistling:

And I thought “Poker” stood for Vegas!
Best check yourself
I love a good game of Poker, but that and maybe some blackjack are my only "gambling vices". I like to have some control/influence over the outcome of what I am betting on. Plus, I can't stand all the lights and noise of a Casino.

I give MM credit for getting his team fired up and bouncing back the way they did in a hostile environment. Certainly they played much better than they did against us.

I know it’s hard to make head to head comparisons. Yet we did a pretty good job moving the ball against Dallas and then on a short week (Thurs) played one of the better Run Defenses (TN tied for 9th)

The Eagles D is a smidge lesser imo against the Run. I’m also wondering if we just didn’t get enough rest time as we came out pretty vanilla for the first half against the Titans. We’ve played some tough Run Defenses in the Patriots,

Some coaches do not return their squad to form in a short week. Last year MLF did a remarkable job beating a 7-0 Cardinal team on TNF especially without his weapons and Barry. This year it was the opposite. Eagles have a lot of speed on both sides of the ball. I hope they take us lightly.

While it's true that the Vikings have a great record Football Outsiders have them ranked only 24th in the league in DVOA, 10 spots behind the Packers.

Maybe they restructure or extend Jones, maybe they trade him idk it'll be interesting

I don't think another team would be interested in trading for Jones considering he would count $16 million against their cap next season as well.

I would love to be a team that is -3 in point differential yet have an 8-2 record.

That Cardinals team really wasn't as good as bragged up to be. It was good to beat them..should have blown them out. Damn Barry and his crap defense!

Yeah. We know you don’t win 9 of your first 10 games without being very good. Beating the Colts 17-16 last week and losing to Washington by 2 scores 2 weeks ago shows the Eagles do have some vulnerability. Obviously we have no excuse to boast with our inconsistent play. However we saw #9 heating up some and we did get Cobb back in the fold last week and that helps with options. We need to bring our A-B game because playing our usual C- won’t go in Philly.

We watched the Giants slip again and we need some help in the NFC with .500 and above teams similarly slipping some. The only thing we can do is take care of business and let the chips fall as they may elsewhere.

If this is playoff positioning, then the only thing to discuss is who's actually making the playoff. The Packers are cooked. Stinks to be out of it with only a little over half the season gone. As the old saying goes, stick a fork in it. It's done.
Your realism trumps my optimism, well said @Krabs . :(

Yeah the situation is pretty impossible, but still a real outside shot. Not worried about teams like the falcons and saints who are even with us. Obviously we need to win our last five. Then we need to Seahawks to continue to struggle down the stretch, and either one of two of the Giants and Washington to lose at least four out of there last five.
