I say yes..I hadn't thought about him at all until I read an article at cheesehead TV..

I think his health issues are cleared since last November .

He missed 5 games in last 6 years at GB

2017 was pro bowl for Detroit

I'm concerned about his age and him coming off an injury. You get into that Bulaga kind of situation and it comes down reliability more than his talent. Personally I'd pass and fix this situation with another FA or hitting OL twice in the draft. We also have some guys we could rotate if we go high at OT. Spriggs is one example of a guy of a guy who I think may be better suited for OG. That's not to say he couldn't be a backup OT but I'm not liking what I see as far as the overall forecast for a long term solution at RT. There was some buzz about him moving inside before he was drafted and concerns about him being an effective starter level Tackle (we're now seeing the evidence of that)

I liked TJ a lot here. The way he worked his way up and grew every season. But injuries were taking their toll with us, though he played thru a lot of them he was injured fairly often. It didn't get better with the Lions. Again he battled thru a lot of injuries, but he was injured almost always. and last year his season was done in November. A couple concussions aren't helping his cause either. He's not younger and the milage didn't go down.

I guess if we can get him for the "vet minimum" :) and let him battle it out in camp. If anyone else is even close, they get the spot. I just don't think he can be counted upon at all for a full season.

I'm not worried about a full season.. I think he can provide backup to start off..

If the Lions are ready to let him walk he might be damaged goods. :( I've always been a TJ fan and was disappointed when he left for Detroit. I have a feeling Gute will pass. We need to get a younger FA or draft a guard in the 3rd or later.

I'm not saying guarantee him as a starter, but I'd love to bring him back at a home town discount. Even for depth purposes he would be good.

With the state of the Packer Offensive line and its Depth, at the right price, I would Welcome back Lang and maybe even Sitton, who the Dolphins could be releasing as well. :D

Exactly.. Tj could provide depth.. I don't think he should get starter status right away.. He would have to battle fir for it

On March 12, 2017, Lang signed a three-year contract with the Detroit Lions.[4] He started 13 games at right guard in his first season in Detroit, on his way to his second Pro Bowl.[5]

He is only 1 year removed from pro bowl Yes injuries took a toll, he still has smarts, and can be depth..

The Packers need to add young talent and don't bring back players they deemed not to be good enough for whatever reason to keep them in Green Bay in the first place.

If they want to bring one back for cheap, i'm fine with it, but like I said before. If a young guy is offering even close to what they are, i'm giving the roster spot to someone else.

I voted yes but then remembered how him and Bulaga took turns being hurt. I’d rather see what the draft produces I guess

Great.. get Lang, Sitton and Bulaga and we can play 'Guess who is injured this week?' all year. For an added bonus, we can play 'Complain about the Packers depth at OL when someone is injured' too.

He can be a back up.. We will see if they even go after him

Last 6 yrs at GB missed 5 games, think your memory is wrong

While that's true Lang missed 13 games over the last two seasons in Detroit though.

There's no reason to bring back Lang to be a backup. If the Packers are worried about him not being able to make it through a season they shouldn't sign him.

Rodel said Lang and Bulaga were switching off being hurt.. I disproved that..

Had nothing to do with Detroit,

Let's just say I'm very aware of his injury history.. Let's also say he might be willing to come back cheap even as a backup.

I highly doubt that Lang would be interested in returning to Green Bay as a backup, especially being paid like one.

Just released from the Lions. There are some whispers that he may retire though (concussions).
