Not at all...dude is an athlete. I wouldn't be shocked if he makes for merely depth and STs. We've had a few stories like this grow into some specials....I don't envision that but I could easily see this guy fight for at least practice squad.

There are a ton of athletes out there but you have to be able to play football at its highest level in the NFL. I don´t know of a lot of IFL players making it to the league.

Still have to find a way to beat Seattle

The Pack beat them for 55 minutes in the NFC championship game, they just have to close the deal. I think GB is actually the better team at this point.

I couldn't help but noticing that the "Legion of Boom" took another hit, as Maxwell is set to sign with Philly. Piece by piece, they're coming apart.

That's what I want to see. Some NFL.com writer has his "10 training camp battles to watch" and at #1 he has Josh Francis' fight to make the Packers Practice squad

Why in the world would it be #1? Some of you guys honestly lose all proper perception...which is why TT and his staff keep Green Bay relevant. They don't just worry about the flashy spots or top 22 guys. They build this team. Could Francis get cut, most definitely...could he add some extremely talented depth due to his hunger? Yup.

Look over the past 20 years in Free Agency....rarely is it the teams that spend the most or get the "best names" win....heard a stat the other day that quoted most end up around .500. I for one love that TT pays just as much attention to the far bottom depths (including practice squad) in team construction as he does the top.

There's a reason he went to the CFL after going undrafted (it seems like he didn't play at all for the Blue Bombers) and ended up in the IFL. He's a long shot to even make the practice squad.

Seen Bulaga got signed. Apparently GB figures it can handle locking in our big free agents. And replacing the lower half the list, as some here said.

House gone. Williams almost gone. Boykin and DuJuan Harris both not tendered...

Boykin and Harris not tendered. #1 pick next year here we come.

Seriously, a #3 RB (#4 actually if you get your wish) and a WR that had dropped to 4th last year and probably off the team anyway in 2015. These are the guys you do replace every couple of years if they haven't stepped up. You replace these guys with new talent and hopefully one of the new guys hit. Keeping your quality core starters is the way to stay competitive. Not by making sure your #3 RB and #4/#5 WR positions remain stable.

I concur. I'd really like to see Tramon come back, and a healthy BJ Raji, and hopefully find a good ILB in the draft. And while I'm wishing, I'd like to see Carl Bradford and Khyri Thornton step up and contribute this year.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Just imagine if we get Tramon back. Honestly, dumb fans will be like "we didn't get anyone" when in fact we actually got the best WR in FA, best Tackle and arguably best OL in FA, and one of the top 5 arguable CB in FA. How you cannot view that as a win is just crazy talk.

This is all prior to possibly resigning Raji and Letroy and most likely a few late FA cheap options.

We're a day and a half into free agency for crying out loud, anyone who expected Ted to sign someone right away is kidding themselves. It's really very simple, IT'S NOT HOW WE OPERATE. I don't know why it's so damn hard for some to wrap their heads around it. I admit I get wrapped up in it as well but I'm certainly not getting upset because we're not shelling out $60M to Maxwell, or $100M for Suh.

I believe we will make some moves in free agency but outside of signing our own I wouldn't bet on anything happening for a week or so.

That is a nice article and speaks to the quality job TT does year after year. Draft and develop only works if you keep said players once they are actually developed. I also like the point the writer made of how the dividends each player in FA will bring to their new teams are hard to predict but not so much with Bulaga and Cobb. These guys are proven commodities and have done all of their "auditioning" in G and G. A week ago or so I came to the realization that we were probably only going to be able to sign one but the fact we have both now makes me grin from ear to ear. I remain hopeful that TT makes one splash in regards to ILB or DL help but time will tell there. At the end of the day these two signings just go to further solidify my appreciation for TT and the job he does. I hope that some of the Teddy haters can come into the light and see that while he isn't perfect, he is one of the best at what he does and I don't think that can be argued anymore.

I agree, especially if we can bring Tramon back. The Packers have better players than most teams have.

I would not be shocked, however, if Ted goes rummaging for some bargains on Wednesday, to see if he can pick up anyone still unsigned are starting to sweat. It might be too much to hope for, but I believe Jordan Cameron is still out there.......

As far as I am concerned, we have already "won" free agency. Well us and that idiot from Detroit. I really can't believe anyone is paying a NT 19 million a year. I don't care how good he is, if you are paying that kind of money to player, he should have the ability to single handedly put the team on his back and will you to victory. A NT simply does not have that ability and never well.

Tampa Bay was considered big winners last year during FA but now look like they set the team back with costly mistakes.

Trust me, if TT lets someone walk from the Packers, dont bother signing them.

I'm just happy that he is no longer a part of the NFC North.

Man......maybe a lineman or two has done well elsewhere but not one time can I think where the guy leaving wasn't replaced with someone here that filled right in.

On the other hand, has he re-signed any players where your said to yourself "man, we really should have let that guy go, based on his production with the old team?" :)

Marco Rivera and Mike Wahle...

I'd give you that, wasn't decimation when they left but did take a sec. To TT's credit neither lit the world unfire when they left but both were serviceable and above average longer than I think TT thought they'd be.

Cullen Jenkins after the Packers won the Super Bowl. It took until Mike Daniels stood up to adequately replace him.

I believe this one is the best example.....it is a good thing it isn't easy to think of them though. I'll take 1, maybe up to 3 arguable times in how many years has TT been at it. Pretty good track record honestly.
