A great deal of how you game plan for the season, for each game is dependent on the talent you have at the moment. Interesting comment heard from Pat Kerwin the other day related to the best NFL teams and their chances of winning a SB. How many elite, best of the best players does each team have on their roster. Typically the answer is going to be in the 4-7 range, one former NFL'er said 9- Kerwin, no not happening in todays NFL. So question is how many of those players does GB have on their roster - honestly speaking???? Hard to actually find more than 2 and likely only 1 (Jacobs- Yes, Gary???-) Anyone else you can think of because frankly I cannot. Then ask, is their coaching staff "elite"? Is their front office "elite"? Compare to KC Chiefs who are going after another SB.. Compare to the NEPatriots title teams..... Cannot even suggest that GB is in their class in any of these areas of consideration. So what does that tell us, when you suggest GB ceiling the above can tell us what it likely is; the worry is what is their floor now in a division with strong and up and coming teams and a conference where Philly, Washington, LA Rams are all highly competitive, have talent and coaching while Det, MN and upcoming Chi will test this team. Until GB has an elite level QB, WR who can be trusted to do the job, a line that is consistent and the D can hold the run, defend the pass consistently.... and of course ST don't make mistakes and everyone learns how to tackle.... GB ceiling is playoffs and maybe 2nd game. IMO
