Has anybody else just about had a gut full of all the excuses? OL bad, receivers don't get open, no help here, no help there, no free agents, defense stinks, blah blah blah. #12 is the SOLE reason for this season of treason. It ain't getting better as long as he is in Green Bay. Pretty clear to me that he couldn't care less about this franchise. Yesterday, I almost felt sorry for him but thank God I came to my senses overnight. He's a vindictive, deceitful bum who looks like he has aged 15 years over the off season. Even if it gets better, I will never believe that he cares about anything or anyone but him.

I think Rodgers mindset has crossed the minds of many Packer fans, before the game and now even more after it. I can see why, its has been on my mind for months. Just hearing his interview yesterday with Erin Andrews, coupled with his remarks since coming back, I get the impression Rodgers is playing under the assumption that 2021 is his final season in Green Bay. Whether he is all in or not, I guess we will find out in the coming games. I brought this up several months ago, when I talked about what happens if Rodgers comes back and plays, but is still upset at the organization. Was yesterday what we are going to get from a disgruntled lame duck QB all season? I hope not. Not only will it kill the 2021 season for the Packers and their fans, but it probably will reduce the trade value of Rodgers.

He cares more about this team and franchise then you do .. you know how I know? His livelihood, friendships, legacy, body are all put on the line on a daily basis. You're a fan.... repeat YOU ARE A FAN. You don't do anything or have any impact on this team sitting on your couch with cheese rolling down your cheek.

Where were all of those things 3 months ago when it looked like he would rather retire than ever play for the Packers again?

All that aside, he still gets paid the same, win or lose, so I wouldn't worry too much about Aaron Rodgers livelihood, that was taken care of over 10 years ago. Nor his friendships and body. Some people act like these guys are putting their lives on the line every game. Football is a tough sport, but so are many, as are many non-sport careers. Give me a break on the "These guys put their bodies on the line for football." I think they are more then well/over-compensated for the bumps, bruises, sprains, breaks, etc.

I have NEVER agreed with coaches sitting all of the main starters the entire preseason. I know that they don’t want to risk injuries; but when they don’t play even just a little bit before game day this is the kind of performance you get. Total rust and out of rhythm and completely out of sync! Even Brady at age 45 played a little in preseason!!!! Yes Rodgers’ play was WAY off as was pretty much the whole team. They should all be embarrassed—- including the entire coaching staff for not having the players ready to play a whole decent game!!!! No excuses!
Agreed. Yesterday's performance as a team excepting when Hundley and Tolzien took the field was the worst I have seen from a Packer team since McCarthy's inaugural season or even Sherman's last one. And that is a long time ago.

I don't know this to be the case, but my only season-long concern coming out of that horrible game is the potential that Rodgers is blowing off the gameplan and call and just doing whatever. If he decides to play that way, they're screwed.

Agreed. However, his off-season behavior did nothing to enhance team morale or improve team performance.
The whole AR is sabotaging us intentionally is a cringeworthy conspiracy theory!

He looks like a grandfather.
Was it me or did that closeup of Aaron’s face make him look 50 years old +. He looked like he aged 5 years since the last season. What the heck kinda Pineapples was he eating over there in Hawaii ?

Did anyone notice Aaron’s yardage totals were like 10 yards less than Winston? Winston didn’t crack 150 yards but had 5 TD’s. He averaged 30 passing yards per TD? Really weird but NO actually beat us on the ground.

And Winston did not throw that many passes for a team that dominated the time of possession.

Between rushing and passing Winston didn’t break 185 yards. It felt like he had 400 all purpose. Must’ve been those INT gifts that were all ran back into GB territory.

Between rushing and passing Winston didn’t break 200 yards.
Imagine if he had! We might be talking about a 62-3 drubbing. The Saints Defense and the Packers offensive ineptitude were the difference in the game. Yes, the Packers defense sucked, but they have looked that bad before and when the offense plays well, they aren't out on the field for nearly the entire game before it became a blow out.

He virtually dud not need to throw to move the sticks. Or maybe just short high percentage passes. But think all those times we faced Brees and he was the guy who could kill us. He leaves and his successor has an easy day at the office. Only one time in Brees' tenure did the Saints ring us up that bad. And that was a MNF game in 2009. But even then we moved the football.

The first part of your rant is very shaky. The second part is spot on. Only difference is this - I was sitting in my favorite chair and eating licorice watching the most horrible display of football that I have seen in some 67 years. Sounds like you were worrying about the superstars feelings.

We should differentiate between two ideas:

1) Rodgers is going to play bad on purpose to throw games in order to stick it to the franchise (implausible).

2) Rodgers, feeling he has leverage to do what he wants, is going to buck the gameplan and play calls in order to play hero ball because he thinks it's better for the team, when in fact it is much worse (far from substantiated, but certainly plausible).

He was scrambling too, a trend he never did much of at FSU or Tampa Bay. Apparently he got the memo though that our defense is bad vs scramblers.

Let’s just hope that is the case. The proof is in the pudding! We can hope as forever Packer fans that yesterday was just a fluke; but you have to admit that it was a TERRIBLE performance to open up the season with. Remember the Packer fans are NOT making millions and millions of dollars to do their chosen jobs! Cut them some flack! We will see which Rodgers shows up this Season- the MVP or the sloppy, disheveled I don’t give a crap version. Time will tell

Are you sure this 31-0 loss by that Pats wasn't worse?

How about this 38-3 loss was that pretty good to? I'll give you a hint on what those 2 teams ended up accomplishing at the end of the year...... SB
