I don’t want to over react from one game, but if Monday night looks anything even close to this, I think the Packers organization have to begin seriously thinking about trading Rodgers now and rolling with Love to play out the season. There is not a single positive to how Rodgers played today, and that is a terrifying statement.

I truly feel embarrassed having to share my favorite team with people like yourself if this is an actual opinion you possess.

And to retool this team it needs to start on defense. We can get a boat load from Denver. I am for sending Rodgers there. As good as he still can be this team will not win with the current roster.

The over reaction to one game

the main starters never played in preseason
While I agree it's just one game, do you think the Packer organization and players expected this kind of game due to the way they handled the preseason? If they did. Would they still be so over confident in their approach?

Yet another Packer game against what appears to be a decent defense, despite their injuries at CB. The result? Rodgers and the offense sh^t the bed and Rodgers himself unravels fast. Shades of playing TB in 2020 twice and the 9'ers in 2019 twice.

And they should have. Last year nobody had preseason. This year, by not playing them at all you automatically give away an advantage. I expect next week we'll win but it'll probably be a close one.

"Hand your jersey in Aaron, you were a fookin disgrace". He doesn`t want to be here and played like it too. If I`m going to have to suck up losses, I`d sooner do it with a player who WANTS to play for us.

So share with us the positives that you took away from Rodgers' performance today.
Still has great touch on the ball along with placement, still operates that 2 min drill at an elite level. Unfortunately the timing was off both on the WRs and the oline needs time to gel

^this is an intelligent post by a reasonable fan after 1game. I suggest you try it

We all know that Aaron has not suddenly lost it after 1 game. However, you were asked what the positives were from this one game. The 2 points you mentioned were not evident from yesterday AT ALL.

That seems like an over inflated opinion of one man. Take your rose tinted glasses off. I suggest that !

To my fellow posters and fans.
1. I agree with the point that you can't compare not playing in the pre-season last year (nobody did) and not playing in the pre-season this year.
2. 1 game does not a season make.
3. The off season drama did have me a little worried that if things started to go South things could get ugly. Never expected it to be week 1 though.
4. Both the offensive and defensive lines need to play better.
5. I expect things to get better.
6. If Rodgers is truly phoning it in I would not trade him now. I would let him lead us to the #1 over all pick then trade him. Love could play all of the 4th quarters to get some game experience.
7. If we feel this bad then Cobb must be asking AR "if this is what you do for your friends I would hate to see what you do to your enemies".

In Rodger's defense I think that play after play nobody was getting open. That can wear on you. Not sure why Hackett is free of criticism. The offense was very stale and it did not appear that they did any adjusting.

Yet he was on point last year with no preseason.

Now, I'm not going to deny there can be a price to pay if you and your starters play zero snaps in the preseason. But don't forget we also lost Jordy Nelson from doing so, so the risks to losing important players in the preseason likely carries a worse outcome than not playing them then.

I really think trying to put the lack of preseason play as the culprit for today is an attempt at an easy out.

I'd really like to know if Gute and Murphy did in fact tell Rodgers they would trade him after this season. If so, I would say that was a bad move and making him a lame duck QB was a terrible idea. Ideally you'd think he'd stay true to what he said in his Erin Andrews interview about going on top. But after today ... Man I just cannot shake the feeling he looks like he just wants to run out the clock.

Love may not be ready yet but I really feel like the way this season is looking I could live with his growing pains.
Rodgers didn't look even close to what he can do yesterday. That last interception was the most un-Rodgers-like pass I've seen from him, unless someone just didn't run the right route. I find it hard to believe a guy would intentionally not play his best.

I have NEVER agreed with coaches sitting all of the main starters the entire preseason. I know that they don’t want to risk injuries; but when they don’t play even just a little bit before game day this is the kind of performance you get. Total rust and out of rhythm and completely out of sync! Even Brady at age 45 played a little in preseason!!!! Yes Rodgers’ play was WAY off as was pretty much the whole team. They should all be embarrassed—- including the entire coaching staff for not having the players ready to play a whole decent game!!!! No excuses!

I've said it for at least 2 years...are you listening now? HE NEEDS TO PLAY IN PRE-SEASON! THIS ILLUSTRATES EVERYTHING!

I`ve said it for the same length of time, He should be MADE to attend practice, it`s what he gets paid for.....it`s his job.
