IMO Rodgers moving over to New England would make the Patriots better, but I don't think an instant dynasty with their current players.
I don't think so either, because it appears New England is in a down cycle right now, and not just because they lost Brady. I think that's one reason Brady wanted out of there. Even Lombardi's Packers appeared to have run their course, or be close to it, when he went to Washington to play for the Football Team.

Rodgers to Detroit for Stafford, Marvin Jones and draft choices. Should make the NFC North fun to watch the next few years.

Easy....they live in a world where this off season we don't have to cut anyone, Jones and Linsley both take sub-deserving contracts to stay with us, JJ Watt and Allen Robinson become a Packers for veteran minimum and Micah Hyde is traded back to Green Bay from Buffalo for a 7th rounder.
Don’t forget ... Bahktiari feels guilty about getting hurt and agrees to give back his signing bonus and restructures his contract and signs a new 6 year deal at veteran minimum.

You have to remember that the Patriots have a lot of cap space entering this offseason and will get several players back that opted out of the 2020 season though.

Packers would get a lot of value for Rodgers right now following an MVP level season. A high first and second round pick plus a good quality starting caliber player is quite possible. For a team willing to make a total commitment to a 3 to 4 year window, it would make sense to grab a 37 year-old qb playing at an elite level. The Niners are the logical choice. As much as AR loves the attention, even the Jets and the glare of NY might be attractive to him. Rodgers has been completely loyal to the Packers and never complained openly about the lack of offensive weapons. He deserves to play for a team willing to go all in rather than a team that drafts his replacement in the first round depriving the team of much needed talent for a Super Bowl run. Drafting Love might be a good long-term move but it didn't maximize the chances of winning a Super Bowl with Rodgers. Packers sure could've used a first round pick at db, OT or d lineman last Sunday. Yet, Rodgers has been loyal and not complained. Heaven forbid Rodgers winding up with NE. Dam Patriots would win another couple of Super Bowls.

I take you don't read stories, listen to interviews or do anything on the internet except the forum?

Honestly, you sound more like an upset fan, than a GM thinking logically as to what is best for his team.

Great, you drove that nail in too deep and the board split...good going.

LOL....I wasn't saying it to be mean :)

I get it, fans are lamenting about another great chance, at another Lombardi, falling short. However this notion that all it will take is to "start over and rebuild", especially around a QB that hasn't even played 1 NFL snap, is just wishful thinking and pipe dreams. I have said it before, if it was THAT easy, 32 teams would win a Lombardi every year.

If we get back to "normal", Love will be able to play a full preseason and the Packers will have a much better idea of what they have in him. Could take 2 more seasons and in 2023, the torch gets passed. But to pass that torch to him now, might as well just say "we are prepared to lose for however many seasons it takes for us to find a QB".

You may list specific names that would’ve helped, if you could be so inclined.

That would be funny if Rodgers ended up going to the Jets, since that's where Favre was traded.

After looking at 2021 schedule I now believe Rodgers will stay in GB at least another season, the Packers will play a number of 2020
Playoff teams with a possible game 17 matchup with KC’s Mahonnes

Rodgers retires and takes a 10 year 100 million dollar contract to be the Jeopardy host and we all watch his smug face age into an old man..
I wish he would have been a little more smug last Sunday.

It's a terrible idea. Let's ignore the drop-off in talent for a second, they couldn't even account for the cap hits of those players with the space saved by trading Rodgers.
