Rodgers asked for them to do it and they did. Its very relavant to current issues
He has not been resigned, period, and you know why he has not been teen resigned? Because he is not going to resign without Rodgers being his QB. Therefore, a contract from 4 years ago is completely irrelevant.

now of course this is all conjecture on my part, but I do firmly believe this. This is not about 4 years ago, it is about right now and now is ugly.

Also, unlike most people I completely understand and realize that neither Rodgers nor the Packers are 100% wrong, both sides have made egregious errors that have led up to this point. But I will say this, if there is truth to Rodgers saying he won’t come back unless Gute is fired, Rodgers should be shown the door and it should be done by trading him, not by playing some idiotic game of chicken.

love Adams, but he’s benefiting a lot from Rodgers in being regarded as the best wr in football
it is very clearly a 2 way street in that regard. Have you seen some of the plays Adams has made for this team? Even when Hundley was the QB? Adams is every bit as important in the equation as Rodgers.

Ya, Adams is not simply a byproduct of Rodgers, he is highly talented and the two of the boost each other

I don’t believe it is just Gute, I think there was some poor management by Gute on the Love pick, not the pick itself(although I hated the pick) and he should not have to clear anything with Rodgers but he could have rolled out the red carpet to smooth things over with Rodgers as Gute knew damn good and well he was thinking QB as a possibility before the draft.

And for Rodgers he is indeed being an incredible baby about this whole thing. It is completely ridiculous.

Or this is the greatest NFL insider hoax ever perpetrated.

I never said he’s a byproduct. But people say he’s the best WR in the nfl, I think there’s a nice handful of guys in the league who would be considered the best if they played with Rodgers. Rodgers has had multiple different players lead the league in TD receptions and efficiency over his career, I don’t think that’s a coincidence. Pass catchers are boosted playing with Rodgers, that’s just a fact.

I think Gute could have said..we are picking Love if he is there..we still trust and believe in you and want you here..

Didnt ask for permission but could have given a heads up..maybe thats all he wanted..and I think that would been okay.

No doubt, but I also firmly believe it goes both ways? Do you think Adams would be just as good with a few other top tier QB’s? I certainly do.

That said Rodgers makes Lazards of the NFL look much better than they are.

Mike Tirico of NBC Sports, the host of the network’s Kentucky Derby coverage, spoke to Rodgers at Churchill Downs. Rodgers declined to be interviewed, but he expressed to Tirico disappointment that news of the rift with the organization has emerged.

“He expressed a couple of times how much he loves Green Bay, loves the fans, loves the franchise,”

Tirico said. “There is a fissure. There is a chasm between management and the reigning NFL MVP.”

The most important aspect of Tirico’s report is that Rodgers denied nothing. Tirico spoke with Rodgers, and Tirico used words like “fissure” and “chasm” to describe the situation. It’s the next best thing to Rodgers saying so himself.

I did? I said the Packers dont have to trade him if he holdouts. And I said if he chooses to that is fine because he is a grown man and he can do what he wants. I wouldnt like it but it is what it is. Sorry if that came across like I am cool with it. Fine was probably a bad choice of words but honestly I would be fine with it because if he doesnt want to play here because we drafted a qb last year what am I supposed to do about that.

Both Sanders and Johnson said playing for a losing organization led to their early retirement. Johnson said the injuries werent worth it when he didnt see a chance to win a Super Bowl. Rodgers can't say that about the team the Packers put on the field. If he converts one of those tom Brady ints into a td the Packers are in the Super Bowl last year - I am not blaming him for losing (I am looking at you Kevin King and Aaron Jones) but they had a Super Bowl team last year.

Well yeah I'd be fine with it no matter what because at the end of the day it's a game...I'm just saying to alienate your fhof qb is gross negligence as a FO. Now this is going on 2 in a row that's gotta be a record and gutey was around for the last time certainly

I do kinda blame Rodgers for not scoring once off 3 turnovers with a trip to the SB in the line. Especially when everyone saw him yell at z. smith to get the ball back...Aaron Jones I don't blame as much because as stated above in the end they still should have won the game. It's pretty rare to get that many cracks at it as an offense in crunch time.

Kevin King deserves his own paragraph...no matter what the coach tells you , smh, you gotta be smarter than that. Get that dude a helmet for off the field

I had a bigger issue post-Jones going down when they didn't get Dillon involved. Dillon manhandled the Titans and is built to punish defenses. And he gets 3 carries? With no Aaron Jones in the game? He was averaging 5.7 with his attempts. Instead, we go with Jamaal Williams. What's he going to do... I figured we drafted AJ for that exact moment, to punish a good defensive front and then run play action off it. Nope. Jamaal time guys! LaFleur is pretty smart, but he can sure lay an egg once in a while.

King played injured I think, but he's probably a backup about 5 minutes into the first practice. Barry will watch Stokes run a sprint and tell King to get some water.

Just like your slobbering all over the FO and not holding them accountable for depth on the team, WHICH IS THEIR JOB AND THE REASON WE HAVEN'T GOTTEN TO A SB. Just admit your a delusional Packer fan, who doesn't hold the FO accountable and be be done with it. Would make reading your posts more bearable

And how, exactly have I "slobbered all over the FO?" By refusing to denigrate them just because they haven't granted Diva-Man his every wish?

We have been 26-6 over the past two seasons. Who the hell do you think assembled and coached those teams? There are about 30 teams out there who would LOVE to be in our situation.

And you want to talk about SBs? Rodgers could have tied the NFCC game by just running the ball into the damn end zone. And that's just one play. He was put in position to get to the SB and he played a BIG part in pissing it away.

I would say more so.

I think what the FO is saying they are committed to Rodgers is 100% factual but with AR dragging his feet and wanting out could be true also. The FO should call his bluff and remain committed if he wants to sit out and act like a child let him ruin his rep. If he continues to act like a brat Im sure there is some poverty franchise out there that will pay a kings ransom for him.

Even better, do the same as the front office did. Nothing stopped Aaron from releasing a statement saying " We are working through some issues, and I hope we have it sorted soon"

But he's purposefully staying silent on it in hopes it forces their hands.

The reason for him being quite has me believe there is some smoke to this madness. Eather from him or his agent just say "We are working through a contract I have nothing but respect for the FO and this org and hope to have it done soon"

Adams' overall combination athleticism, route-running, ability to avoid jams and pass-catching ability are un-paralleled and it has nothing to do with Rodgers. The only other player I can think of that compares in all of those categories is Rice and maybe Torry Holt in his prime.

He needs to weigh in personally. Not through his agent.

My attitude has taken a 180. I want this guy gone. He's a cancer. If I was management I'd trade him for anything I could get right now and move on. I'd also make it known he's not welcome back in Green Bay. No reunions, no Packer Hall of Fame. You want out? Fine. Get out--and don't come back.

Aaron Rodgers turns grudges and passive aggressive behavior into an art form.

Greg Jennings was right.

Greg Jennings got upset at a joke because he realized his performance on the field wasn't up to par. It's why when he finally left he wasn't half the player he was in GB

Far fetched idea.

If Rodgers is disappointed in this being in the media, is it at all possible the packers leaked this to start with?

So Jennings held a grudge.
