Maybe if Rodgers wasn’t SO hoggish needing ALL that money for Himself—You know He REALLY needs all those millions of dollars they could have had a better team! Rodgers isn’t about the Green Bay Packers team it is ALL about Aaron Rodgers! Wish they had traded Him away while He was still worth something!!! Simplify oh yes that’s the answer to EVERYTHING Rodgers!!!
While in a "perfect world", I would agree with you. However, sadly most of the star players in most major sports are getting as much money as they can. If they don't get it from one team, there usually is another willing to give it to them. It would be nice to think that $20M/year is enough for 1 player, a player willing to spread the wealth and potentially better his team by doing so. That just isn't reality, as much as people like you and I think it would be awesome if it was. So, don't hold your breath, it isn't going to happen.

It seems like MLF has lost the locker room. He did win a lot of games his first three years with one of the best QBs to ever play the game and at least a few guys who could catch the ball. I do believe that having Rodgers playing well is almost a guarantee of 10 wins. He is that good. Consecutive MVPs don't happen by mistake.

MLF doesn't come across as an ***-kicker on TV. But who knows what he's like in the locker room? Let's just say that if, in fact, he has lost the locker room, I wouldn't be that surprised. The pity of it is that this team has a lot of talent, with a few exceptions. It's easy to blame but this season's woes seem to be from bad coaching. And if they keep losing as they have been losing, which is to say unmotivated, then the talent will also be called into question.

Or maybe this is just softening us up for what GB football will look like for at least the first few years without Rodgers.
The Packers also have a handful of players that are making HUGE money (Rodgers, Jones, Alexander, Clark, Bahk) It also isn't a coincidence that it is 3 of these guys that have spoken out, in public, about what needs to change. Suddenly, the Packers have more cooks in the kitchen than they need and I think it is showing.

As much as these guys love to win, it wouldn't surprise me if some of them are thinking "hell, my checks keep coming win, lose or draw, so I get an earlier vacation this year, might be nice."

Pretty good point. There have been too many guys talking. Even Rodgers. After the *** kicking the Jets laid on them, they should all shut the **** up and say they'll fix what's wrong. I don't wanna hear Rodgers saying he has to play "a little tick" better. It's not entirely his fault but I would say the entire team has to play a LOT better.

I hate to think guys would get to a point where they think they make their money, win or lose. But if this season keeps going south, that's how I'd think. And I would do everything possible to avoid an injury, meaning no smash mouth football.

I don't think anybody watching this team would say Rodgers, BakhT, Jones, Clark or Jaire are cashing it in. Those guys, AMos, Gary, and Preston are about the only guys that every week look like they're playing professional football compared to some others on this team.

I agree with that. I do question the motivation of much of the team though. And just my opinion, but I think most of their problems this year (including a lack of motivation) are coaching-related rather than player related. It's way too early to be calling for someone's head. At the same time, the coaches have to look at how they're preparing the team, and how they're managing the game itself. I can't put my finger on it, but this team seems incapable of adjusting its game plan during the game.

Looks like Rogers is playing assistant GM with Gut...Wouldn't be surprised if he takes down Lafluer like he did McCarthy a few years ago.

I hope not, and things are different. In 2018, Gluten had a choice between Rodgers and MM. We know who won. (Well officially these are Murphy's decision. On the org chart MLF and Gluten are peers. It doesn't matter. MLF is not going anywhere.)

Now it's 2022. Rodgers doesn't have leverage and Gluten would look to trade him if his relationship with MLF becomes a problem.

I don't think that will happen. Rodgers plays as if he doesn't care much about the outcome, and that's true of the entire team. This is an opinion and I'm generalizing and most likely I'm wrong, but it is what I see.

The fact of the matter is, they do make their money, win or lose. There are a few that have incentive clauses, but for the most part, once on the roster, they are guaranteed their money. I am not accusing any specific Packers player of doing this, but I can see where the thought might creep in, especially when a season starts to unravel.

Yeah I think these guys are professionals and are not gonna "dial in" a performance. If the season keeps going in this direction, and I have no reason to believe it won't, then the FO has decisions to make. Do they start playing other guys for real-game experience? When?

I think as long at there is a chance at a playoff spot, they play their ***** off.

I know but then they deserve rotten teams like the Packers are turning into. I am not happy with the entire organization

If they don't do well in the 1st half offensively. Play Love. Take Rodgers out. I would sort of like to see him cry right about now.
I don't know.
It would have to be pretty bad to pull #12 at halftime.

I’ll take my chances with their backup QB against our Defense
vs.
#12 against their Defense.

I’m fully expecting at least 1 Takeaway at Washington.

I haven't been happy with the org structure where Gluten, MLF and Russ Ball all report to Murphy. The HC should report to the GM. It just creates dysfunction and makes the GM's job harder than it should be.

We've been here before with the Packers. What's new, IMO, is that they seem to lack any motivation to play, or to play better. You can see it in their body language, they all just kinda slump, and they are taking physical beatings from other teams. In short, they're soft.

They’ve not played 4 quarters yet. I mean they have.. but you know what I mean.

I’ve noticed we generally don’t travel long distances well lately (during Matt’s tenure). Maryland is travel but it’s a pretty quick trip compared to Tampa or Los Angeles or London. I’m hoping this one is our turn around game.

I notice that. We had a loss in San Diego his first year when the Chargers were not so good. We did win a couple in SF but also lost a couple there. We stole one in AZ. We had to travel all the way to Lambeau for 2 Januarys....And forgot to pack a suitcase.

A couple of things.
I believe trading Rodgers will be impossible. I believe he would retire first.
I am sorry but IMO it is the professional athlete's job to motivate himself not the coaches.

Same here.

And having made the trip to Europe on a few occasions, it takes time to adjust, especially coming back. although that didn't seem to bother the Giants, winning the London game and beating the Ravens last Sunday.

The Packers are running out of excuses. They've recovered now and are due to beat an inferior team convincingly. Time to nut up guys.

I know brother ... I feel your pain.
It's frustrating and embarrassing to be concerned about a backup to a QB (Wentz) who isn't very good to begin with. Oh how the mighty have fallen! "Worlds are colliding Jerry!" - George, from Seinfeld

As true as that should be I remember Paul Hornung saying, " Forrest Gregg, Herb Adderley, they would have been great on their own. The rest of us, we needed Lombardi."

Brett was almost pulled at half time vs the giants in the nfccg in 07

I've heard from very reliable sources that was discussed...seems brett wasn't following the game plan

Wouldn't that have been a twist
