How long was Dillon out for after his positive test? A month?

It took Dillon more than a month to be activated from the COVID-19 list.

It seems that was an exception to the rule with most players being ready to go after the mandated period of 10 days though.

Well it's not as big of blow as losing the best LT in football, but the Saints just lost Kamara for at least Sundays game and potentially the following game.

Kamara tested positive for Covid.
I could argue it might be equal to Bakhtiari for the Saints, given that Kamara is the engine that makes that whole offense go. If he's not available to them in their first playoff game, I'm not sure they'll be able to win.

It will be interesting to see how the NFL sets up the schedule if the Saints have to play in the Wild Card round.

With Kamara's positive test occuring on December 31 he could play in a game next Sunday but would be out for a contest on Saturday.

You'll know when you wake up tomorrow. I expect to know not long after the Packer game, if not before the end. The winner of the night game won't affect the rest of pairings. Just where Tampa books its hotel rooms.

Very good point. I am probably wrong, but I thought the #1 Seed of each Conference played their game on Saturday and the other 4 teams left played on Sunday? I could be wrong and there is no set "formula". I would hope that the game scheduling is never influenced by the availability status of one player, COVID or no COVID.

It is influenced by "the good of the game" aka TV ratings. Would you get better ratings with or without Kamara? I expect 3 games Sat and three on Sunday.

Ah yes and my bad, I was thinking about 2 weeks out when the Packers hopefully will be playing their first playoff game as the #1 Seed in the Divisional Round. Playoff rounds never seem to be in any preset order.

Man watching this Cowboys-Giants game, I hope we draw Dallas up here for the divisional round. Dalton would be made a mockery of by us.

Meantime, word to Gute, stay away from Evan Engram when the NYG release him this off-season. We don't need any more marble handed TEs here. GARBAGE!!

Tampa Bay has to feel like they are getting a first round bye, before heading to Green Bay. The East is pathetic.
Yeah at this point, I'm hoping for a Bears victory over the Saints.

Though a matchup against the Bucs would be great theatre, I'd rather not go that route. I will say though, the Washington Football Team might have the defensive front to give Brady some fits.

The good news, we won't have to beat both Seattle and New Orleans to get to the SB. This was a distinct possibility if we slipped to the #3 seed.

I predict in 2 weeks we will see:

Seahawks @ New Orleans

Tampa Bay @ Green Bay

NFC Championship: Seahawks @ Green Bay

If this comes to fruition, it'll be the #revengetour.

Just for the record, I stay up for most Packers games. Only watch a replay of night games during the regular season in the morning.

Playoff rounds never seem to be in any preset order.

The order in which the championship games are plyed alter each year, with the NFC getting the early one this season.

The Packers need to re-sign Tonyan but not add another tight end via free agency.
