... Seriously ? Talk about cherrypicking stats without providing Context ...

One of the main arguments against acquiring AD was that he would be a "terrible fit" for the Packer offense ... Totally diaregarding the fact that AD really has ONLY played with one QB of elite caliber during his career (and No, I dont consider Brees elite :p ) in 2009 ... Check ADs stats that year before saying he would have been a terrible fit ...

Anyway, its a moot point now, however, I do think AD is going to have a stellar season and as a few others have said already, it might prove to have been a Blunder not to get AD when the chance was there ...

As opposed to what you are doing and completely ignoring the stats regarding running out of the shotgun.

Even if he has a great year in NO it will not prove that it was a blunder for the Packers not to sign him. Of course some will claim it does but that won't change the fact that his performance in NO has nothing to do with how well he MAY have done in GB. He may break every single season rushing record in NO and he may have broken his leg already during OTAs in GB. Its something we can never know even though some will claim to know it.

Hey. Look at the bright side. When he's "All Done" he won't have to change his initials. :whistling:

Eh, I can't say Peterson wouldn't be of any use, but I'm not going to wring my hands over not having him. I have a good feeling that one of our rookies will step up. And I'm confident in our offense. I would have rather seen TT sign a veteran cornerback than Peterson.

I don't agree with the way Thompson addressed the cornerback position this offseason but at least he tried to by signing a veteran in House and drafting King with the team's first pick. He should have added a veteran edge rusher though.

I nearly listed that as well. As far as corners, it looks like we're missing a true #1, but King looks like he should be pretty good. But how long will it take him to get up to speed with the NFL?

Absolutely agree that the Packers should have signed a veteran #1 cornerback this offseason. While it's possible King will turn into one at some point heavily relying on a rookie is a huge risk, especially considering the team lacks quality depth at outside linebacker.

And next year we could have 3 first year RBs while Peterson contemplates retirement.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. He'll probably have a few good games this next year where he makes some good plays like Ladanian Tomlinson did his final year at the NYJ, but his best days are long gone and I wouldn't expect him to be that tackle breaking monster we used to see in the past.

Let me say it one more time. Peterson was not a good fit for the Packers. Nothing would have pleased me more than to see them waste time and money on him trying to fit him into the Packers offense. He is not a very good pass blocker, and when he doesn't get the ball, not that great at making people believe he has it. Running from 7 yards behind the O line he is great. That is not the Packers style at this time. He would have been a square peg trying to be stuffed into a round hole in Green Bay. Some of you just need to move on from it.

But he's a NAME player that I heard of. Of course we need to get him. Any decent games he has early next season is proof of Ted's incompetence and stubbornness. Any bad games are just him needing to get acclimated or the coaches just use him wrong. You've been here long enough, you know the drill.

So I get a half dozen dudes bashin for months , saying he is junk and sucks....

But guess what? He is still a super stud.

No way I'm letting this go. Peterson was served to us on a platter and we didn't even take a look???

I said it before. This is right up there with not signing moss who wanted to play with Favre.... how did that turn out?

Peterson has done diddly-squat with the Saints so far as we're talking about OTA practices that are held without any pads. I'm fine with revisiting the topic once there have been several weeks played in the regular season but as of right now there's no point of evaluating his "performance" so far.

In addition Peterson excelling with New Orlans wouldn't mean him performing at the same level in Green Bay as for the upteenth time he isn't a fit for the Packers offensive scheme.

Did you read the article???

" he covers like 7 yards in his first two steps." Talking about unique burst. His size speed combo. Talking about playing until 40. About being chiseled out of granite. Bree's talking he has never had a rb that he can hand off to and watch him go do his own thing...

I did see the guys purposely mentioning Ingram.... like he is already the forgotten guy. I am guessing the packers were more concerned about doing that to Monty , possibly...

It's a mistake to put any stock into what players quibble during OTA interviews but you're way over the top taking their word as gospel about Peterson.

Wow dude. You need to lay off Kool Aid. You're making and "I told you so post" after a few practices with a couple of quotes.

Calling him a "Super Stud" is just hilarious.

Comparing him to Moss is plain dumb when you remember one was a WR and the other is an aging RB with a fresh history of injuries.

Talking about AP playing till he's 40 is just.... Well.... Let's just say you're being intellectually dishonest with yourself if you believe that's in the realm of possibilities.

Its OTA' s Everyone looks look and all pro this time of year. Players cant even tackle each other of course RBS are going to look like studs.

And if recall correctly when Moss got a chance to play with Favre he complained about the caterer and lasted what 2 weeks before he was cut again.

I'm may be going out on a limb here but I'm guessing you're a big fan of the Combine.
