No crime losing to a guy like John Elway. He was a very special player as was Davis in that time.
I'm interested to hear you say that, I've always maintained they flat out beat us. Even if they did twist the rules a bit. Most Packer fans say we should have won that game, and them beating us was a fluke. I don't see how it was a fluke when they repeated the next year. A fart in the wind, as Ron Wolf said.

I might not be on the game thread until the 2nd half tonight. I invited my in-laws over to watch the game at our house, since they don't get Amazon Prime. They said they might come for at least the 1st half, but didn't commit yet. I'm pretty fortunate to have good in-laws...Now if they were out-laws, I wouldn't have invited them:whistling:

There's a lot of eye candy and distractions in a game. I try to watch the OL/DL battle when the ball is snapped. Once the ball is handed off or thrown, I follow the ball. It helps me stay focused.

When I watch hockey, I'll follow the puck until it's in the zone. Then I just watch what happens around the net. The puck eventually shows up there.
Games are won and lost in the trenches. If the line doesn't open holes, the offense becomes one dimensional. When that happens, the pass rush will destroy the passing game. That is the objective of the defensive line. On offense, your goal is to stop the pass rush, so your QB can throw the ball. When he's getting time, the defense cannot win prioritizing against the ground game. That opens up the ground game. Like I said, games are won and lost in the trenches, and the people getting the glory are the ones who have the stats.

That's why it was such a good thing when Romeo Doubs Josh Jacobs picked up the turkey, and brought it into the locker room for everyone to share. It's what someone who shows respect for teammates does.

Packers haven't played their best yet. They are getting better every week. I was not looking forward to this game about a month ago, now I think we are likely to win. Part is our improvement but also their injuries to the DLine. We should be able to run early and often and controll the game. Love will unleash a few when they finally bring another player in the box.

I will admit in the live watching I really try to shut my diagnostic mind off and just enjoy it but it is very tough. Now the rewatch of the All22 and just the normal rewatches I really need to get a life and not spend so much time on.
What's a life and where do I get one?

Packers elevated CB Kalen King to the active roster tonight.

Related: Did any of you catch the statistic Bill Huber sent out earlier this week?
Apparently, Eric Stokes has been targeted 999 times since coming into the league.
He has ZERO passes broken up and ZERO interceptions.

That is really bad, he's just a body then. Seriously, Stokes is just there given those stats, NFL QB's aren't even remotely afraid of him. Those some really, really bad stats, I mean, not even a pass broken up?

Stokes has lost the skills he showed in his rookie year. He was one of the best in stopping completions against him. In fact, in the top 5. From there on in, the injuries have hurt him, and his game has not come back. It's too bad, he had a lot of potential.

But, as far as I'm concerned, anything coming from Huber is not worth discussing. I see his name on something, I walk away, and read something from a credible writer, who doesn't play games with the truth.

But that's my opinion on Huber. I've dealt with him in the past.

Well once again can’t watch the game live have to watch replay later can’t wait to see the RANTS Go Pack WIN!
Get Amazon Prime. We use it all the time, and order a lot of products from them for delivery. You get a better option them than in big box stores, and often, things that are hard to get from most sources. I think I paid like $80 or something like that for this last one year membership as a senior citizen. It sure beats getting Netflix or any of the other services who want your first born child as hostage so you deliver your pint of blood to them.

Anyhow, that's my opinion.

I think you meant Josh Jacobs.

Huber is an idiot. Most places have him credited with around 9 his rookie year.

That can’t possibly accurate. In his rookie year Stokes had the 11th-most passes defensed in the league and tied for 1st among rookies. And tied for 4th-lowest completion percentage when target among all DBs in the league. And he definitely had one INT rookie year.

Now maybe it was supposed to be counting AFTER his rookie year? Because that might be accurate… as far as i can tell he’s not been credited with any INT or passes defensed in that time. Which is of course BAD. but to say “since entering the league” can’t be factually correct

That’s not true. He had an INT and 14 PD’s in his Rookie season.

Anyway. I’d have the Packers winning bigger but Detroit has been so resilient and also at times very efficient. I don’t want to underestimate them. I just hope we play much tighter at minimum. That last game was really a Top 3 slopfest in Jordan’s short career.

Since his rookie year, Stokes doesn't appear to have any ball awareness. It just seems like his back is to the QB all the time, which contributes to his lack of INT's and PBU's.

Okay, but what has Stokes done this year? I only ask because I genuinely don't know, does he have a INT or deflection this year? I've seen every game (mostly), but with JA out, he definitely needs to make himself a presence tonight.

I don't remember how I got it. I might have gotten it through AARP. Can't recall. That's one of those senior things too. LOL

Was at that game last night. I have no voice this morning. I thought we lost it with that horrible 4th ‘n 1 call which, essentially, gave you guys seven points. I was very nervous about how easy you guys were moving the ball in the second half. The line was 3 1/2 and that was about it. Keep adding a few more minutes to this game and it would have kept going either way.

probably one of the most exciting games I have attended. I was surprised at the lack of Green Bay fans at Ford Field. back in the day at the Silverdome and even the one game, I attended on Thanksgiving last year, seemed like there were cheeseheads all over. still, the ones we interacted with were very cool.

I don’t believe this is over. I think we’re going to see you guys again. Not sure my heart can handle it.
