It will start to emerge. But right now it is as much an issue as when Brady was supposed to be banged up a month ago. If a bad ankle Jones can do what he did maybe a sore thumb Rodgers can come close.

2010 is completely irrelevant to 2022.

The playoff bracket is dilluted with 2 more teams.

The 2010 season works as evidence that teams don't need to win their division to win the Super Bowl. The Packers couldn't take advantage of having the #1 seed the past two seasons. Therefore I don't care if they make the playoffs as a wild card team as long as they perform at a high level entering the postseason.

And I believe the Bucs were a WC when they won it a few seasons back.

I heard an interview on the way into work this morning. Rodgers said that his thumb is sore and he took the day off. He will be back and practice today and is sure he will play Sunday. It's a nonissue.

I figure if Favre can play almost an entire season with a broken one Rodgers can squeeze through a game with just a sore one.

The Jets and Washington have the 2nd and 3rd most pass attempts leaguewide, but both run the ball less than average. The bigger difference is the Jets are good in the Redzone thus far. NY has an impressive 4th most Redzone TD's and the 5th best Redzone %.
The Jets Offense has a slightly below average Sack Allowed (19th) vs The Packers (16th) as an example
N.Y. are not some impenetrable OL and Barry needs to dial up a few extra Blitz packages, GB is 11th in Defensive Sack numbers (Jets are 18th in Def Sacks) and that's an area we should win most matchups and I'd like to see us stress that area more this week.

Rodgers has faced the Sack Defenses of
Tampa (3rd)
Vikings and Giants (Tied for 12th)
Bears (26th)

Rodgers obviously does better when not pressured regular as seen with the Bears

While Barry didn’t say it specifically for the Jets, he was asked about the lack of takeaways compared with last year etc.. he said that a key component of takeaways (INT or fumble) was putting pressure on the QB to make errant decisions in haste.
He did say they would be playing more press coverage, but not in some blanket format. That tells me they’ll want that ball coming out quicker to avoid a disastrous play downfield such as getting bested deep. Barry also talked about us having an ideal DB group to get physical with Receivers.
Why he hasn’t stressed it to this point I have no idea. But he’s recognized we can’t play soft Coverage.

In my opinion Barry's quotes during his press conference didn't make a whole of sense.

While it seems he agreed that the players weren't used according to their strengths it seems he didn't realize he's actually the one responsible for it.

You've got a lot more faith in Walker than I do.
Yeah, Walker is athletic and can easily get from sideline to sideline, but he's learning 1) how to stop the run and 2) how to cover WRs and TEs. He's just not a year 1 impact player, well not yet. Doesn't mean he won't be a great player, I think he will. But to ask him to stop the run right now, well... not without some help.

At least he forced a crucial fumble this year.

WR Winfree called up from PS (3rd & last time allowed). Tipa placed on IR but no PS OLB called up so hopefully that means Gary is OK for tomorrow.

I feel a little sorry for Zach Wilson because I think he's in for a very rough game. ;)

I don’t pass final judgement on Barry for a couple of early season contests, I pass judgment on how they respond to adversity in the long term. As long as he learned from it and gets us in the playoffs and applied what’s he’s learned I’m good. No team plays perfectly every week look around

I agree it's too early to make a fair evaluation of this year's defense. They need to improve over the course of the season for the Packers to have any chance to contend for a Super Bowl though.

I don't know what it is about the London game, but I have lost all my optimism. I'll wait and see how they play today and maybe I'll change my mind.:(

I think they're going to put an *** stomping on the Jets today. I think it will get close later again because we'll coast again and the Jets are a team that just doesn't quit. The game won't be close however. I think we're going to see more TO's today when they turn it on and more balance from the offense again and stick to it.

I don’t think fans give Gute enough credit for taking an elite offense and turning it into one of the worst offenses in just a couple years. Best QB in the NFL past two season, top-10 RB, above avg oline but the receivers/TEs are so bad defenses can put every defender within 10 yards of the LoS.

I think it starts more with the coaching staff. Belichick has had a lesser roster the last few years and his teams are still competitive. He makes something out of nothing. His teams have a serious game plan for every opponent. And his teams play with pride. Our team does not have intensity, focus and desire to go 60 minutes.

100% agreed. Our biggest problem is coaching. It is very clear. Time for big changes.

Time to invest heavily in to best positional coaching stuff possible starting with HC DC and O-line.

Not really fair to compare a coach against the best ever. If that’s the benchmark then every coach sucks (cept Belichick of course).
