Official Packers vs Cowboys

I'm also really interested to see what happens with Lacy if that is extended punishment or just what it was last game if so I would not mind see Taz run a WHOLE lot.

Watching his press conference it seems like McCarthy is ready to roll with Lacy again this week.

I feel like the DET game is the game that will get us hot again. Rodgers has played good the whole season, just a bunch of missed balls

I´m sorry but Rodgers has been struggling for most parts of this season as well.

If the Packers, coming off of 11 days of rest, don't beat the Cowboys, playing on a short week, missing Romo, and traveling across the country, by two+ touchdowns, the franchise should shutdown.

You weren't a Packer fan (or old enough to remember being a Packer fan) in the 70's and 80's, were you?

According to your proposed rule, the Packers would have shut down a whole lot of times already.

Two touchdowns? Just win, baby

Just a reminder from us who look downstream. A win is undoubtedly a win in the standings, but if, as the poster you quoted says, they don't whip up on a team with all the problems the 'Boys have right now, what does that tell us about the Pack's ability to do anything in the playoffs other than the almost-standard short run? If this were the Super Bowl, I'd take any kind of victory - being the game it is, I'm not going to be lifted up by anything less than a good beating.

Whatever the outcome, this is one of the NFLs great match ups

Given our problems, I don't expect too many points out of us in this game, I saw the Dallas D-line last Monday and they certainly could give us fits, enough that we'll probably need to bring the screen game into play in this game. But what we will need to do is win the turnover battle (which Washington did do), BUT .... most importantly .... score TDs off of turnovers (the thing that Washington failed to do, only 3 points off of 3 turnovers). If we do that, or, if our D can just keep em out of the endzone, we should have this.

It was more of a statement giving reasons why "the Packers have no excuse not to win this game."

Wasn't really going for "remember the old, bad times" in this post.

Rain is an equalizer, A bad team can beat a great team in rainy conditions. It becomes a case of which team is least affected wins.

Ick, yes. Fine with rain if we're playing Arizona. Rather not with Dallas. Wasn't it pouring rain during the Bears game? Or was that Detroit #1? I forget.

That was during the Bears game. With our receiving corps and Rodgers struggling even in dry conditions I'd prefer not to have any rain for Sunday's game.

If the D plays as well as they did in the last 3 qtrs of the Felions game, the Pack should win this one...the Dallas O without Blomo is atrocious...

48 degrees and rain isn't bad. 35 degrees and rain is bad.

What makes a rain game is running the ball and turnovers. Their d-line will give us fits just like Detroit did on turf. However, Dallas is the worst in the league in turnover margins because of both coughing up the ball and not creating many of their own on defense.

Sorry guys; 17-10 Dallas. Now here is the deal. Whenever I monitor the "shout box" during a game, it seems we lose. When I don't monitor it, we win. Since I'm probably going to be monitoring the shout box this week, I have to pick against us. :ninja:
