Now that we are out, who'd you rather win this SB?

I thought that was an odd choice also. Drew Brees looked like a jittery rabbit when he was running that play, he looked pretty nervous.
I guess Payton wanted to ice the game with a first down. I admire the aggression, but I would have punted.

Probably a good thing the Saints didn't successfully pick up the first down, for that would have become the new bar some would have used to judge MM and being too conservative on.

I hope it's not the Pats or anyone from our division, or even our conference.

Maybe Steelers, I reckon.

Pulling for the Saints. I've admired Drew Brees over the years, he seems like one of the good guys.

And I'm glad the Panthers are out of it, simply for the fact that Thomas Davis Sr. won't get a whiff of a Super Bowl this year.

Who are you referring to?
He means Jeff Triplette. He said he was going to retire after the game. Probably because he's finally come to grips with the fact that he's a terrible referee. I think the good ol' boys at the league office threw him a bone and gave him one last playoff game. What they should've done is give him a gold watch instead of an important playoff game he could screw up for one team.

Yeah, but they'd still be able to say they were the 1st team to play a SB at home.
Give them nothing.

Half empty Half Full......They would also be THE team who would have to say "Yep, we were the first team to play a SB at home, in front of our home crowd and.....well yep......we lost that one too."

I kind of find myself rooting for the Saints also. Even though I don't like the idea of Brees having two Super Bowl wins to Rodgers one.
Maybe it would put another chip on Rodgers shoulder though, and that can be a good thing.

Drew Brees and the Saints.

With Ingram and Kamara they have my kind of offense. A grind it out running game with a twist. When you need to throw the ball you aren't relying on a "game manager" you have one of the top QBs in the game.

One thing is certain I will be pulling for them more than any other team this weekend.

Tripplette (sp?) A post got in between while I was typing.

His name is Triplette. He has been one of the worst referees for a long time. I will never understand why he got a playoff game.

Andy Reid knows even if Triplette did retire, he would lose a lot of money for bashing him. I would have enjoyed reading his comments if he did not bite his tongue.

Super Bowl, Hell as long as Cam Newton (the big cry baby) is out I break into my happy dance.
Anyone notice, did the jerk talk to the news media after the lose with his "cooley dude" multi color outfit on.

I agree! ANYONE but the Patriots! They're a bunch of cheaters and should have been banned from the NFL for at least one year and should have had their Super Bowl trophy and all the rings taken away!

I wish every Super Bowl season that at some time (even in over Div.) a team would win the SB that hasn't win it before.
Yes, even the Lions. or Cleveland.
They been kick around so long, they wear mask when going out shopping.

You might get your wish this year. Half of the remaining teams don't have Lombardi trophies and one (the Jaguars) has not made an appearance yet.

The last team to win its first Super Bowl was the 2013 Seahawks.
