I was more scared of Dallas then I am of Atlanta and that doesnt mean i dont respect what Atlanta has accomplished or dont take them seriously. I just like how we match up better.

Matt Ryna is real good but he isnt mobile like Dak and Atlanta O-Line isnt even close to Dallas. Clay didn't play last time against these guys. I think we have a better chance to get to Ryan which will help secondary out big time. Perry cast coming off. No Rollins or Randle either last time either. Obviously Julio will make some plays. Pass rush and limiting Freeman and Coleman to big plays is key. Cant let those guys turn 5 yard plays into 20+ yard plays.

On the other side i dont see these Falcons stopping A-Rodge and Co with or witbout Jordy. This time we play them we have more speed (Cobb, Cook, Montgomery, Michael) so no shortage of weaponary They really only have one pass rusher. They lost there no.1 corner (Trufant) like we have. There defense might be more "smoke and mirror" then ours. If Rodgers stays on point there shouldn't be any problem moving the ball

If we win turnover battle we get the "W" GPG!

Falcon fan here, not here to spout off about my team being world beaters just here to discuss football.
Yeah right. Typical opposing team fan looking for attention. You are here to antagonize the Packer fans in this forum.

Really have I done that? I've brought stats and facts along with my posts. I'm not here to antagonize anyone like you are attempting to do. I respect the packers storied franchise and possibly the GOAT in Rodgers. I came to talk football. Get over it

I think most of the reasonable posters around here agree with me that you haven't tried to antagonize anyone and came here to talk football.

I'm hoping to score 4 tickets for me and the family. Checked last night and the cheap seats were going for around $300. Might have to bite the bullet for the chance to watch Rodgers while he's playing at such an incredible level. This Packer team is fun to watch and this has a chance to be an epic game on Sunday.

Two from your posts.

Pressure will be from our playmakers in Perry Clay and Peppers. I believe they are better than what your Oline could keep out.

As to comprehensively beating Seahawks, they were possibly the 3rd worst team to have made the playoffs. Only Giants and Lions rank lower. Wouldn't read much into that.

As to this game, we'll get lots of hurry and sacks this game but won't stop Ryan. He's not the MVP candidate for nothing and overconfidence ruins teams. What I expect is him throwing one or maybe two INTs potentially late in the game which will give us the edge. Very close high scoring game either way.
I respect that point of view and the Seahawks offense is nothing compared to yours but defensively they are better across the board. They have very good pass rushers in Bennett and avril and Clark who got to ryan 3 times but in the end left him largely unphased. They brought a lot of pressure but we have a lot of places to go with the ball. You run the risk of being burned badly if you blitz to much. If you can get home with 4 I'd say you will fare a lot better over all.

It's not like our offense hasn't gone against top defenses..
Seattle was ranked 5th in the league for a reason and hung 36 on them including a 99 yard drive.

Yes you have playmakers in your front 7. I just don't think they will fare as well as you anticipate. Then again I am a biased Falcon fan and you a biased packer fan :)

No Cobb, Randall, Rollins, Matthews, Cook, or TyMo the last time we met. We are going to be a completely different beast from the previous matchup.

Ryan gets rid of the ball quickly, at least against Seattle he did. It's the only entire game of them I've watched all season. I don't see them getting a lot of sacks, but I can see some altered throws because of it. Not a ton, but that's just how our defense is

Correct, we also didn't have Coleman and had 4 rookies starting their 5/6th game of the season. They have a full season under their belts and are playing faster and with much better awareness. We may have lost Trufant who is a great zone corner but instead got Collins who excels at Press which is our only chance to slow you down if at all. Press press press. If we play zone we are toast

Once again there's no doubt in my mind the Packers defense will have a tough time stopping the Falcons offense. Most likely that will be true the other way around though as the Packers have played against four top six scoring defenses over the last six weeks averaging 37 points in those contests.

Absolutely can agree with this. There's no doubt you will get pressure everyone has. Our LT is playing hurt and our RG is a weakness in pass protection.. the issue is trying to get ryan to hold the ball. Seattles sacks were coverage sacks besides that ryan had the ball out on avg in 2.3 seconds. It's going to be tough for both teams to get pressure on these qbs.

Question does your D play more Man or Zone?

Yea that's true. Long story short whoever wins the turnover battle wins the game. I think we can agree on that. We might not see a punt all game

I don't know about more often but the Packers overall are better on man coverage but unfortunately Capers tends to play a lot of zone schemes that hardly work.
Well I pray he continues that. I suspect we will play a lot of 4-2-5 cover 1. It seems to have been our go to the last leg of the season now that Collins is up to speed and has shown he can hold his own. Our soft spot will be udrfa Brian Poole and devondre cambell the other rookie Lb. As I'm sure you remember jordy torched cambell deep last time we played and Neal/Allen couldn't adjsut quick enough.

Your 3/4 wr and Montgomery are going to be the X factors in this game. If Alford and collins can play mistake free they can battle with cobb/Adams well. It's allisons size that will give Poole issues. Is janis your 4th if Nelson can't play or is re injured?

If Nelson can't play either Janis or Trevor Davis will be the fourth wide receiver but I don't expect any of them to get meaningful targets. The passing offense will most likely be centered around Cobb, Adams, Cook and Allison.

Hmmm, this is going to be an interesting pregame discussion leading up to this one.To me .... I'm just looking at who wants this more and I'm feeling it's the Packers.

I respectfully disagree. How can anyone say that a team wants it more than another team? I look at it as who's more ready...If that makes sense.

I don't have any special dislike for the Falcons but don't know if they are ready. I think that we are past due to keep this going, but I still have my reservations. I have not watched any Atlanta games so I really have no idea how good/bad their defense may be. Have just seen the highlights of Flynn throwing bombs to Jones and Freeman running down the throats of some defense. Like someone said, this will be pretty much like the Dallas game. Good QB and RB. Can their D stop our offense. Can our D make any stops against their offense. Lately our defense has played better than I thought they could with all of the injuries to the core players. I'm still not crazy about Capers bend don't break philosophy. Thank God for Hyde, Daniels and Gunter. I'm scared that I feel a little more confident in this game. I really did not think we were going to beat Dallas and anything beyond that is gravy. Don't get me wrong I would be thrilled if they can pull this off, but too many times we have 'almost' made it.

I do not expect the Packers to Blitz much.... I would expect them to play mostly nickel and some dime while hoping to get some pressure from the up front guys.

Good point, Campbell or Neal will probably be covering cook with Allen playing the deep middle zone. Allen does not have the ideal range you want for a Fs so that is concerning right there. Nobody can throw a laser better than Rodgers. Allen is gonna have his work cut out for him for sure. We have the speed to keep up everywhere else on D though. That's something I don't think dalllas had. Their lbs outside of Sean Lee are slow. The first half of the game reminded me of our 2010 game where our defense was just to slow to hang with you.

ditto, we did bring some lbs to blitz Wilson but he is no Rodgers and his legs beat us a few times. Vic is playing injured and if he can't get to Rodgers or mirror him to perfection it's gonna be a long day on our end to

I haven't seen that being mentioned by a credible source so far, where do you have that information from???

I heard them talking about it during game. I thought I heard them say that Perry had said if Packers advance he would be able to play without cast this weekend.

I got my fingers crossed.

I think it`s more just an expression. I think he means we didn`t just take it as a given, so we had more determination to win it. Just my reading of it.
