do you guys think the game against the vikings will be an important one?

i think it is an important game because we need this win to get 2nd in the division. if we win this game brett has to win it for us because the vikings have one of the best run ds in the nfl.

and on d we cant give up big plays. i dont think we should have a problem with that because the vikings o has not been good. they have not scored a td in 9 quaters.

lets forget about the bills game and look at the games we have ahead of us.

we have a good chance to win this game(again) and we cant make stupid plays that will cost us the game.

hell yeah it's an important game. We win, we're 4-5 and still in contention. A loss puts us at 3-6 and in a tough predicament.

The Vikings are coming off of 2 let downs. GB is coming off of a huge let down. I think this is going to be a great game and could go down to the hay wire. Both teams will be hungry to win this one and being Vikings vs. Packers only adds some more spice to the game.

Next game is going to be huge and we can't rely on having the run game win it for us against the Viqueens run defence so Brett will be forced to pass more. Expect an exciting game with Brett throwing a couple TD's !!

I expect a win as long as we don't stick to a "run the ball" game plan as we will have to take some shots in the air !!

this game is good because it will remind the league that Brett has a contender for the "too old" award. I don't see Brad Johnson setting the world on fire, yet where is the calling for his head? Brett is protected by rookies, while BJ has the most expensive lineman ever.

The Pack better assign a safety--scratch that---ATTACH a safety to Troy Williamson's *** when in zone, cuz once Wood or Harris lets him go he's gone, and it won't be pretty, especially when done off a play action after Chester Taylor has run five straight times and everybody bites.

But of course, Green Bay already knows that.

...right?

since we are in a rebuilding season with alot of young guys, i'd say EVERY game is important.

beating the queens would be a huge lift to the team AND the fans though - so heck yeah, this is important.

The guy averages three receptions and 40 yards a game. I doubt the Pack is shaking in their boots over the Johnson/Williamson tandum.

This week he caught one ball for 4 yards against the mighty 49'rs. I think the boys can handle it.

A - it's spelled tandem. B - They're playing the Packers. C - Who happen to be worst in the league in pass defense. D - Who happen to have the worst safeties in the league.

You did the math, I looked at reality. We'll see which one is right.

They are the worst pass "D" for the year as a whole but not over the last few games and certainly not since they changed things around and stay in the nickel more.

I know, I know, they gave up 400 yards to Miami but the Dolphins threw the ball over 60 times for crying out loud. That's generally what you see over two games.

The Vikings passing game is certainly no better than that of what we have seen of late and we have done what we should be able to do in this case. Shut weak passing games down.

I think I very much live in reality. If the Pack WASN'T playing much better against the pass I would readily admit it. But to talk about overall stats for the year show ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about current trends, adjustments and improvements teams currently show.

That would be saying the Pack is no better now against the pass than at the beginning of the season which is simply not fact numbers wise or by any other means of measurement.

Did I spell everything right this time?

Yes you did, congratulations. But your ignorance is still there. I don't care what the latest trends are---if I did, I'd be wearing animal prints. Fact is the Packers safeties are absolutely horrid, and when you have a guy like Troy Williamson to stretch the field, at a 4.3 pace mind you, then something bad is likely to happen. I hope you are correct in your assessment, and I hope Collins and/or Manuel eat the right thing or get some real nice piece before the game to energize them, but it's virtually the same thing as assigning someone to Randy or Santana Moss. Of course he's not that caliber, but his speed is. And since they have become a "3 yards and a cloud of dust" type team, the play action is going to hurt even worse.

S'all I'm sayin.

I don't care who we assign who or what Collins and Manuel eat the fact is Williamson and Johnson have not lit it up against anybody and I doubt we will see it happen this Sunday.

If you watch the games the Pack likes to put Harris on the their #1 most of the time and they usually get zilch for the game. That INCLUDES the times when they are in other coverages including an occasional zone.

So why the hell should we all of a sudden be all that threatened by this combination?

I'm done on this one. Let's just wait, as you suggested, for Sunday. My bet is he does nothing more than maybe 3 catches, 50 yards tops, and 0 TD's.

We are going to fall apart in this game. We just had a huge letdown and it will carry over to this week im sure. I DONT think this is going to be a great game. Something like 23 - 10 Vikings win.

Hopefully im wrong but i doubt it.

Williamson's speed means nothing if he can't catch the ball.
He leads the NFL in dropped passes and killed two drives Sunday dropping two very easy catches.

He's a first round bust.

I was just about to say he has to catch the ball first. I can't believe the Vikings traded Randy Moss and Daunte Culpepper and got Napoleon Harris, Troy Williamson and Ryan Cook.... ouch...

Still both teams need this win and both teams are really coming off of poor play. Something has to give.

TO probably leads in drops on 4th down! :rotflmao:

Sure it's an important game - it's the Vikings :cross:

What chance a last second Longwell FG ...? Or a Dave Rayner twice-taken 55 yarder??!! :cheerleader:
