Sorry, I just kind of jumped into this thread and wanted to make one quick point - I think we lost SB XXXII because our D-Line was getting manhandled and they were out of gas. We were running the ball great in the first half, I agree, I just don't think we lost because of the reasons stated earlier. It was the tired D-Line.

One thing I guess I should have made more clear ---

I'm not limiting the reasoning to just one item here.....
I fully agree that Gilbert Brown was completely out of shape that year compared to the previous and in the Superbowl that year - he was barely good for two plays in a row, without resting himself by placing his hands on his knees, all bent over.... Just the same, Denver's Defense was actually worse than ours was - and had Holmgren (IMHO) stayed the course he was using in the first half - I still believe we could have won - it would have been close - both teams were tired - just the same......
