Looks to be discarded by the Pats.
We should offer a 2 year contract?
Maybe past his prime, but still has lots to offer.

He was noticeably absent in the Pat's biggest game of the year, there has to be a reason for that......
Someone on the Patriots forum speculated that he's a free agent and maybe Bilecheat was trying to drive down his price.Message seems to be "They lost faith in me"

Just goes to show, people will come up with anything to see if it gains traction. Why on earth would a coach bench a guy to drive down his cost by some secret rumor to make him cheaper to re-sign when you already know you're heading into the season next year needing to replace to long time and valuable coordinators. Let alone all the other transition that happens every offseason and all the injuries and crazy things that happen in season, why would he bet on that and not put it all in for the big game they were already guaranteed to play in right there right then?Someone on the Patriots forum speculated that he's a free agent and maybe Bilecheat was trying to drive down his price.
Pats fans say a lot of dumb things.Someone on the Patriots forum speculated that he's a free agent and maybe Bilecheat was trying to drive down his price.
Past his prime? He's only like 28, right? He should be right in his prime. The question is whether his prime is an upgrade over what we have now.
He must have done something to really **** Bellichik off.I'd like to know more first.

I heard he was a day late to Minny, no idea why, I’m sure it will come out.

Funny how the Patriots and their coaches are the "gold standard" in here. Whenever somebody wants to criticize the Packer's coaches and their "terrible record of not getting to enough Superbowls"... We are all told to look at the Patriots... and yet now we should just ignore that and swoop in and grab Butler even though it is obvious that Bellichick chose not to play him for a reason.Regardless, I would definitely be interested in the Packers acquiring Malcolm Butler.
Suspect Bellichick will be gone. Rumors of conflict with Kraft taking Brady's side has created a rift. Not sure I believed until Kraft interview prior to SB. Asked how the future looked for Bellichick he said he would wait till the season was over before making a decisions. Not a ringing endorsement, which is shocking. Made me think rumors are true and he is leaving the Pats.It seems unlikely that, all other things being equal, he was not a better option than Eric Rowe.
If Belichick sits a player in that situation, there must have been a pretty good reason. Before I spent a dime on this guy, I'd want to know what it is, and then make my decision from there.

Not saying he tanked the SB by pulling a player, but maybe his decision was affected by the tensions. As in "Trade my future QB against my wishes, I'm still in charge of the team on the field if no longer the Front Office and I'm not putting up with any crap."
Right on Gary, the list of reasons may be long and arduous, but any way you care to look at it the Green Bay packers secondary last season was near the bottom of any sort of statistical list that could be compiled, so I wouldn’t rule out bringing in anybody to improve in that area.he was the 42nd ranked cb this season. our guys were 55, 56, and 57.
