Gunter been wounded since week 5 bro. He's got no business being on the roster next year. Just straight hot garbage. I Honestly had to re evaluate my life last night because if he can play in the NFL? I know I can play in the NFL. I'm bigger than he is, I'm stronger than he is, and I'm definitely than he is!! I'm seriously thinking about being at the next Green Bay training camp. I'll take the vets minimum! I'm positive I can't be any worse than him, Rollins l, or Randall!! I'm just older by a couple years.
4.7 though? like how he make it? Is he coo with a coach? its definitely some spots on D that need addressed asap lol

Bro I can back pedal faster than this dude can run in a straight line. If I was Randall or Rollins I'd be ashamed that an undrafted cat that runs a 4.7 covering the other teams #1 wr. All these bums need to be somewhere selling used cars in Wisconsin.

I was thinking the same thing, this off season going to be intense for that CB position its going to be some battling I wish I could be there to watch.

We just need to sign a free agent number 1 cb, use the money freed up from shields. I have confidence in Randall, Rollins, and Gunter to step up and play better next season when they're each knocked down a peg on the depth chart. This was an obvious slump year for them, but inexperience, injuries, and thrust into unexpected roles had to do with that.

Those QB ratings against them are horrendous. No wonder we got our ***** whooped! Almost guaranteed a completion throwing on either one!!

I think Kevin Greene gets credit for Matthews not Moss. I saw that Greene is ready to come back...Give The HOF the keys to the defense and lets see if he can get Clay and Co. back in Superbowl Shape.
Don't think Greene will be back in GB while TT is still around...

Its actually pretty simple. Aaron kinda of talked about it and said "they need to reload" and mentioned the younger players they have some upside.

We need to cut some of the fat and that might mean Matthews in a trade or re-work a deal cause his production and health dont warrant his contract. Peppers is gone. I'm sure Datone Jones is gonzo. Sign Perry and get two more edge rushers. Get somenody that can get push up middle on pass downs. Get a legitimate corner that can contribute now and hold it down. Dont just use the draft to try an acomplish all this as there is a ton of cap space and be willing to sign a big free agent or make a trade if it helps us "win now"

Sign Lang and Cook and keep the offense in tack. draft a RB and send Lacy on his way.

The Packers absolutely have to address the cornerback position with a veteran free agent and an early draft pick. Randall, Rollins and Gunter should be brought back to compete for playing time and if they continue to struggle maybe even a roster spot. Outside linebacker has to be addressed as well by re-signing Perry to a moderate contract, restructuring Matthews´deal, adding a free agent and another early rounder as well.

Bouye is an interesting prospect for sure. But my gut says that if TT is still GM when Free Agents can be signed AND the Texans don't resign him, there will be too much competition for his services for TT to be in the mix.

I expect the Texans to re-sign Bouye but if he makes it to free agency it´s finally time for Thompson to actually outbid other teams for a FA for once.

That would be a disaster randall cant tackle to save his life if a rb ever reach second level its a TD.

Randall is better suited to play free safety than outside cornerback.

I don't care where they come from. We need pass rushers and at least 1 better than average DB

#1. Thank Dom for building a championship defense in 2010 and hand him his walking papers.

#2. Dave Aranda covets an NFL DC position, go get him before someone else is smart enough to do so. This guy has built amazing defenses everywhere he has been including 3 top ten defenses in a row with underrated recruits at Wisconsin . There is a reason he is one of the highest paid assistant in college football.

#2.5. Clay must restructure or send him packing, he is not worth 15 million and we would be better off with the 4mil dead money hit and saving 11 million than keeping him on the roster.

#3. TT absolutely must get off his ***, swallow his pride, understand his way is not working (for getting another super bowl) and go out and spend money on one of the top free agent cb's. Period end of story.

#4. Draft TJ Watt if available at the 29th pick, this should be done even if he has to move up a few spots as he will be gone before we pick in the 2nd. Before anyone jumps on me, if you watched Wisconsin football at all you will know I am not saying this because of his name. 60 some tackles last year, 15.5 for loss, 11.5 sacks (lead the B10), 2 forced fumbles with one returned for a touchdown, plays with a relentless motor which is the one trait he does share with his brother. He is a beast and will be so in the NFL as well, not JJ level of beastlyness but a beast none the less.

#5. Get some speed at ILB, this is vital in today's NFL.

#6. Pray to every God known to man for a healthy season.

All of this is on top of re-signing the obvious people such as Hyde, cook, lineman.

If all of this is done, guaranteed top 10 defense next year. Not that I have anyway to prove this guarantee but guaranteed nonetheless.

LOL....yup, you and I will both be called "Badger Homers".

Would love this pick. First, it fits a huge need for the Packers. Second, as you said the guy plays all out on every play and seems to always be around the ball. Given that he came into college as a TE and only played 2 seasons at OLB, he has even more to improve on in not only his game, but his strength. Take a look at his brother JJ's growth (physical and skill level) from the time he entered college until now. Now the good/bad news, currently he is being projected as a late first to early second round pick, but I wouldn't be shocked to see his stock rise in the next couple of months and be gone way before the Packers pick.

Id keep Datone Jones, though perhaps after letting him test the market. He didn't do much it's true but it was his first full year OLB, we should be able to sign him for cheap and he'll probably be better than whoever takes his place. Anyone remember Lumba and Vic So'oto or Frank Zombo for that matter?

I think the key thing you mentioned is growth potential. Those stats I listed were his one and only season as a junior starter. He still has more to learn and to improve on and I fully believe he has the desire and determination to get better.

I think that Watt will impress at both the combine and the senior bowl, no way he's still around at 29. Besides we could have LT, Reggie White and Bruce Smith in our front 7 and it wouldn't matter because our corners are that bad. They give up the inside stuff to funnel plays towards the middle of our defense and give up easy 6-8 yard completions, then when still playing outside leverage they still get beat for big gainers outside the hash marks.

I don't blame Dom entirely for the defense sucking, I do blame him for not being able to get the defense to even a Halfassed serviceable level. I really think his time should be done, what he is doing is just not working. I am not basing that simply on this year.

Same interview he puts no blame on Capers, he says it's the players

I mean on one hand MM always did have a maddening degree of faith in people. On the other hand him praising Capers doesn't mean that Dom's job is safe. Ive seen DCs make functional defenses with similar types of junk, see those old Lovie Smith units.

He plays a big role in both the retention of players and in their development. That he doesn't have any backup corners who can look somewhat serviceable in game situations is a pretty stern indictment of not only player acquisition but also player development.

Which is why #3 on my list came before talking about tj. For the record I too am worried about TJ's stock rising to high making drafting him unattainable. If that is not in the cards then they obviously need to look hard at a pretty deep cb class in the draft as well.

IMHO Dom is a brilliant football mind, but like Mike Martz more professor than businessman. Someone who would be great at teaching theory but not so good at execution.

I cannot tell if you're agreeing with me or not but it seems like we have the same thoughts on the matter

This might be a draft where you trade back into the early first round to acquire another pick.
