Hundley wasn't in a passing posture and Watt didn't target high. I assume that's why

Doesn't matter based on the rules. Should be called.

The only explanation I can think of is a lineman ended up in the official's view.

You are so silly. It doesn't matter if the qb or rb or we etc gets hit in the head standing straight up kneeling down or whatever a helmet to helmet is a penalty. I can almost guarantee that if it were Rodgers or Brady or cam or..... It would be called. That was a huge no call it should have been 15 and we could have at least chewed up more clock at the very worst.

there are a lot of helmet to helmet hits every single game that aren't called.

Probably not as many as you think in today's game. I will very surprised if watt doesn't get fined even though there was no penalty called. Taking money from them surprisingly makes them attempt to tackle and hit the correct way. I am not saying watt is dirty but he should get fined.

This is actually where the college game gets it right. That would have been reviewed and based on what I saw, that's helmet to helmet, 15 yard penalty.

Just watched the play multiple times.

First, can even hear the head to head hit on the broadcast. Secondly, two officials were staring right at the play.

I know the game is fast and sometimes calls get missed, but I don't see how such a clear one was missed.

I'm not arguing it was a clean hit. They could have thrown a flag. Someone asked why not. When runners and tacklers put their heads down sometimes they hit.

I'm ok with it as long as a guy isn't held up and someone targets the head. Or a defender goes high targeting the head. But if a runner lowers his head? It happens

I saw it and heard it right away. He got his bell rung and probably should have been taken out actually.

I agree that it happens. I don't like the rule, but it is what it is and it was missed call.

While I agree with you when it comes to everyone but the QB.....but it seems like you so much as touch a QB's helmet, you get called.

Sadly the np called may have changed the outcome of the game.

Doesn't matter. He wasn't a runner. Since when do they take into account whether the defender was targeting high or not. It has always been an absolute, even when players ducked and got hit. Hochuli is a putz.

All people do is bash the officials. Real nice.

What else do you do after a loss? Bash your team? :coffee:

In all seriousness, I think for the most part the officials do a decent job, given the speed of the game. However, they aren't perfect and there are a few ways to correct major errors. Instant replay was one of them, that I think really helped. But, I have no clue why they won't put a ref up in the press box and if he sees something like that hit to Hundley, that the others missed, then call it down and get it right. Yeah, I know.....slows the game down. But I would rather slow the game down a bit, if it means getting the call right, a call that might possibly change the outcome of a game. Networks could run a few adds while this took place and run less between kickoffs, punts, etc.

But it was called against Greenbay a couple few weeks ago, against a wr who literally dipped down at the last second, to meet the tackler? I can't remember who was involved, but that was a bad call.

This was our qb. That should have been called. No doubt.

Also the last play,(or second to last play),before the game winning fg..... holding flag was picked up?!?!? Blatant cheating imo.

Just saw it...... looked pretty clear but could have looked like face mask to helmet at game speed. Hey.... in the end that non call may move us up a few draft slots
