At the moment, Pat Mahomes has a QB rating of 27.8.

Jalen Hurts? 118.96, and more than twice as many rushing yards as the entire Kansas City team.

That seems to be a pretty concise summary of the whole game.

Time to break open the champagne lads, we remain the only team to threepeat.

I can't believe they actually gave the Packers credit for Lombardi's threepeat. Usually the media loves to ignore our storied history, but they actually mentioned it. I hate the Eagles, but I'm glad they beat the Chiefs.

The commercials from 1997 were GREAT and the Packers won the Super Bowl. Just saying in case you weren't aware. A Green Bay area casino was offering an all expense paid trip to Super Bowl 32. ;) it rained all freegin week in San Diego.

Agree the commercials were disappointing, although I laughed at the guy with the cowboy hat for a head - which was a Tubi commercial.

The halftime shows for the Packer wins were better than tonight's too. The Blues Brothers for Favre's, and the B-52s for Rodgers. I don't care to think about Super Bowl XXXII. I will go to my grave seeing John Elway helicoptering through the air.

I'm glad the Chiefs lost.
Now the Eagles fan can burn Philadelphia to the ground, for all I care.

Just kidding. I think.

Ya see what happens when the refs are under the microscope and can't call penalties in favor of the Chiefs...........
That's what I was thinking, too - that they didn't dare throw the game as blatantly as they have all season long, it's too important not to destroy the image of their sacred Super Bowl.

I just wonder what to expect for next year, now that there's no chance for a threepeat anymore. Will they go back to calling Chiefs games without such obvious bias, or will they keep up with the crooked officiating to get the next threepeat effort off to an early start?

Based on this game I think any grand long term prognosis about the Packers based on the Eagles playoff game is suspect. Eagles just got on a roll and a making a lot of teams look bad the last 3 1/2 games.
Exactly what I was thinking. Watching them utterly crush the 2-time defending champions by 28 points, when our two two losses to them were by an average of 3.5 points, doesn't feel quite so bad.

In fact, all 4 of our losses this year were by an average of 4 points per game. We only fell 16 points short of an undefeated season.

I believe it's actually 24 points total, not including the playoffs.

The Eagles have big, effective lines on both offense and defense that can push any team around. They sort of remind me of recent 49er teams, except Jalen Hurts is more effective. We don't have that, yet.

I'm pretty sure I'll always watch the super bowl. Though I don't like all the crap surrounding it nowadays.
It used to be a few hours of pre-game crap. Now it's all day long. I was at the gym at 11am yesterday and it was all over the TVs, 6 and 1/2 hours before the game. How does somebody stomach all of that repetitive coverage? Not me, that's for sure. I had enough trouble with the Tom Cruise intro.

Now THAT is a great picture that any and all Packer fans across the globe would love. Nicely done weeds! Some pictures just need no words. This is one.

You know, I never considered them "collectors items". The time leading up to and after SB31 was magical for me. I washed and wore tem regularly. Still my greatest Packer memory after sitting through the 70's and 80's in Lambeau.

Philly's drafting of stud DL's is paying off big, tonight. Mahomes is under pressure EVERY drop back.

I heard them stress how Philly's plan of drafting continually in the trenches caught me as odd, because they just came off a massive secondary overhaul in the 2024 draft, but before that it's true. Green Bay fans would be so pissed if GB just drafted bigguns this much:

2024
1st Rd - Quinyon Mitchell CB
2nd Rd - Cooper DeJean DB
3rd Rd - Jalyx Hunt DE (hasn't done much yet)

2023
1st Rd - Jalen Carter (big iDL)
1st Rd - Nolan Smith OLB (tiny pass rush type edge)
3rd Rd - Tyler Steen OL

2022
1st Rd - Jordan Davis iDL
2nd Rd - Cam Jurgens OL
3rd - Nakobe Dean LB

2021
1st Rd - DeVonta Smith WR
2nd Rd - Landon ****erson OL
3rd Rd - Milton Williams DL
*They drafted three more DL/DEs in this draft.

Yeah we had family over for that game and it was special. I was in college at UWM and remember so many Monday mornings reading about another Packer loss.

What makes your picture special is that the hats have been worn and washed. In the foreground of the bottles, it's a work of art. Maybe give the Louvre a call?

Hey if a duct-taped banana is worth $6 mil, this picture is worth a lot more!

I was happy to see that toward the end of the game, they finally admitted that the Packers were the only team to three-peat, and gave a nice tribute to Lombardi and the Packers of the 1960s.
Yeah the "SB Era" records are misleading. The NFL has been around over 100 years.
