One good reason?

Because you loved them in the good times.
Yeah, I mean there must have been something you thought was cool about them when they were winning. For example, I've always liked that it was the smallest city with a pro sports team, and the only team owned by the community. The fact that my family comes from Wisconsin, and that my father was a big fan also factors in.

But some people are just attracted to winning, I guess, and they float around and attach themselves to the next big thing.
I've always thought Skip Bayless was a prime example of a bandwagon jumper. He's basically a Cowboy fan (reason enough to despise him). But since the Patriots are the most successful team of late, he's become a big fan of theirs, and of Tom Brady in particular.

I was thinking about Grain Belt which, to me, is a fine tasty beer.
Must be my fault why the Vikes beat us. I recently bought a 12 pack.

For a land that likes to brag of having 10,000 lakes you would think they would have more beer!

The problem is the premise. The OP is asking others to give him a reason. It's got to come from you.

I love watching the Packers play even when they suck. I've got tickets to the Atlanta and Detroit games, and plan to go to both and not ditch them just because my favorite team is losing. I've got my reasons for loving them.

Does that mean that having three good players on a 53 man squad is a reason to like the team? :)

Also : Along with Aaron Jones, Kenny Clark and Devante we have : Bakhtiari, Jaire Alexander, Linsley, Josh Jackson, MVS, Equanimeous. Kevin King.
Blake Martinez. Quite a bit of young talent, and a big draft with 2 1sts and 2 4ths.
Further : Zook gone. Cobb gone. Nick Perry gone. Tramon gone. Clay's big contract gone, McCarthy gone!

It is truly painful to watch this pathetic excuse for a defense. I'm sick of the injuries and draft and develop bs. This whole organization is going in the toilet under the current management. One only needs to look as far as Chicago to see what new blood can mean to a team. I want to be positive, I really do. But, there is nothing positive in Green Bay right now.

It's easy to love a team when everything is going great.

It's when adversity strikes that you find out who the real fans are.

Some of those might very well be good, but none of them were listed in the post to which I referred.

And, how do we know? Are they the ones that don't point out the warts? Aren't those of us who want to improve the franchise real/true fans?

Not saying that at all. I'm not calling for rose-colored glasses.

What I am saying is that the bandwagon fans will call it quits when the sledding gets tough.....And gladly jump back on when things turn around.

Agree. My problem is with those who consider we who do criticize to be the bandwagoners, rather than those who just leave until things improve.

While I agree with this, I also see 2 other "types of fans". There is the uninformed "Super Fan" that really doesn't know a lot about the Packers, but insist that they are a "big fan" because every Sunday they put on a Jersey and cheer their team on through thick or thin. Ask them a question about a player and they may not even know anything but his Jersey Number.

Then there are fans who live and breath Packer football. They may make critical comments or constructive criticism about the Packers and some may take take that as "you aren't a true fan, how can you be negative about our beloved Packers?" Those fans may have "given up" on this season, but they are still firmly planted in the middle of that band wagon and haven't left it for as long as they have been a Packer fan. I see a lot of those types of fans on the board, me being one of them. I was called out yesterday by one of these "Super Fans" because he felt that by me saying it might be better for the Packers future to lose out (not intentionally) and build for 2019 with higher draft picks and by playing the guys who will be here next year, this somehow makes me a lessor fan than him. The Packers future is a big picture and if all you are looking at is the score at the end of the game, then you really aren't a vested fan.
