Then again, we're tied with the Browns, they fired an ineffective HC, they've got a hot-shot QB on a rookie contract and significant other talent.

Also, I seriously doubt that the Pats' violations significantly contributed to their success, just as I firmly believe more Packer fans would put up with some form of cheating if it produced those results. Heck, aren't players of every team coached on how to break the rules without getting caught - so cheating is just a matter of degree.
The Patriots success causes alot of jealousy in the league. If you think they are the only team watching the other sideline, your a fool. If MM was half the coach Belichek is and if Rodgers had half the passion as Brady, we would have more Super Bowls

Playing in arguably the weakest division and having little opposition to face over the past few years also helped. Let's be honest, until this year the NFC was the more competitive division. I'm not gonna sit here and question Rodgers dedication in winning, he knows it's about rings at this point.

You're pretty new. CaptWIMM should be coming in any minute with discussion about how the Pats schedule really hasn't been the issue. :)

By all means he's more than welcome to try. But this isn't about them unfortunately.

He will do more than try his statistics are valid... The most convincing to me is the Patriots record against NFC teams.

Does that mean that having three good players on a 53 man squad is a reason to like the team? :)

Because you are a Green Bay Packers fan and this should be one of the most interesting off seasons in decades.
Believe me, I've been a Packers fan for 62 years and been to the top with Vince Lombardi in the 60's and to the bottom during the 70's and 80's.
This year the off season will provide many interesting scenarios that Packers fans haven't seen for decades.
I love the Packers and I'm excited to see what the off season brings.

Then we're definitely going to have to find the guy that brought it up and tell him to cut it out.
The Patriots have been brought up a lot here, not only because of their obvious successes, but because for awhile there we were seen as the NFC version of Patriots-lite. A few years ago, both the Patriots and the Packers had an eight year streak of making the playoffs, both teams had Hall of Fame quarterbacks, and both teams had kept the same head coach for a long span.

Unfortunately, the Packers have floundered the last couple of seasons, and it's unclear exactly when that ship will be righted. So the comparisons with the Patriots don't really hold up right now.

Seriously seeing posts like this truly shows you how spoiled we have been over the years. You're frustrated. Join the freaking club, but give you a reason? Because they're The Green Bay Packers. That's your reason! That should be everyone's reason why they like this team. The ups and downs that comes with the territory for any team. Thank God we haven't had the poor luck Brown fans had to endure. The season is far from over and-UGH!!!

I can't!

Pretty much the only way the season is far from over is because they still have 5 game left but I admire your optimism :D I do agree with you though. If you are a fan you like the team through thick or thin.

This'll lighten up the bandwagon considerably

A buddy of mine (a Bears fan) texted me saying he felt sorry for me and I replied, jokingly, that it didn't matter because I am a Brewers and Bucks fan now and he called me a wind sock. I had never heard that before. Let them leave, there will be more room for the rest of us.

I'll give you two reasons.
1) We are not the Cleveland Clowns. The Cubs of football.
2) We are not the Cheatriots. Our losing ways show that we don't cheat like they do to win.
Ugh, get over it. The patriots championship success has nothing to do with cheating. Seriously.

It is truly painful to watch this pathetic excuse for a defense. I'm sick of the injuries and draft and develop bs. This whole organization is going in the toilet under the current management. One only needs to look as far as Chicago to see what new blood can mean to a team. I want to be positive, I really do. But, there is nothing positive in Green Bay right now.

Change is coming (in good way)...and next year it will be scorched earth. Go Pack go!!!

I figured there are five games left in the season. I'm going to watch and enjoy every one of them, and root for the Packers to win everyone. God willing, they'll be another season for me to root for my Packers.

To even ask that question is beyond belief. It's the PACKERS.......They may be having a rough time at the minute but are you seriously thinking of jumping ship ?

I didn't realize you could determine passion by watching the games from your couch. Cool!

It's a repellent idea to us "true fans", but not everyone is one. Obviously a bandwagon jumper who joined when times were better.
I'm willing to bet a lot of current Packer fans are simply fans of Aaron Rodgers, and many of them will probably drift off when he does.
I don't like it, but people certainly have the right to cheer for whomever they want, for whatever reasons they want.
I would just say they are welcome to stay, hopefully they will. If not, bon voyage.
