I'm fairly impressed with the maneuvering (and luck) of this year's draft picks.
Picking up the extra 1St next year... win!
Picking up Jackson in the 2nd round. Win!
Got some oline, some big fast wrs. Win!

Wish we could have gotten more edge guys, we are really exposed there. Hopefully we can get some cheap outside FA depth. I like that we loaded up on CB's and WR's, however I understand the sentiment here of some fans that this shouldn't have been necessary considering the draft capital we have invested in these groups, especially at DB. I therefore hope this is the last draft where that happens for either position group. Yet I do have to say that I am way more confident in Alexander+Jackson and Moore +Valdes+Brown then I was in Randall+Rollins and Malachi+Dupre.

Let's hope we hit home runs on at least half of these guys so we can go EDGE and OL heavy next year.

Personally I'm most high on Alexander.

I've read lots of packers fans online being hyped up on Equanonimeous St. Brown so I have to admit it makes me a little hyped.

hoping at least three of these guys begin the season as starters. if that happens it means the product on the field is improved. if most stick that means depth has improved too. the db and wr rooms are sure gonna look different this year.

Im positive we will get at least one competent starting CB from the pair of Alexander and Jackson, while also adding a solid WR #3 from any of the 3 guys who all look to be big bodied deep threats (exactly what we need), and possibly even seeing Burks starting over Ryan at ILB.

I'm of the belief that this team has a decent shot of making it to the SB. If we could resign Evans and get Barwin on one year contracts, hell, I'd even dare calling it the first complete team we have had in the last 5 years.

Josh Jackson.

He was slated as a R1 pick for us. Getting Jaire plus a 2019 R1 pick in addition is shrewd drafting...with a healthy dose of luck .

The fact that we got 2 guys I’ve seen mocked to us at 14, and a first next year is great, the fact we needed two CB’s again is bad. I’m happy with the WR’s, but not 3, 2 would have been what I figured. A punter and long snapper that early, I thought our punter from last year was pretty good. I have to read up on the two linemen.

I said it earlier, but I really like how we approached WR.

Basically just a scatter shot at a bunch of big, fast WR's with the hopes that at least one of them pans out. These later rounds don't really matter anyways, so might as well shoot your shot. They know where they have issues and they're going to fix it. Have to like seeing that. Thought overall we had a very good draft.

i think they thought cb and wr were the biggest problems areas. wr's are old (jordy/cobb) and poor quality (everyone except allison). cb's are old (williams/house) and poor quality (everyone except king). i think that's why they hit those areas hard again (forget the best guy on the board crap as they pretty much ignored most other positions and passed over some really good players). they cut jordy, signed a red zone target in graham, and drafted speed and length. may the best men win. anderson and jackson will join king, williams, and probably house. the others will fight it out for the one or two spots left. there must have been something about the punter they were unsure about. consistency? they said the new punter was the best in the draft, can do kick-offs and holding. long snapper was a problem last year until goode came back (he's old though).

I don't mind that the Packers didn't address the edge. Outside of Landry, Chubb, and Davenport, it was a pretty weak class. Instead, Gutekunst chose to concentrate on what the Packers needed most, and with Alexander, Jackson at cb, Burk as a fast ILB who can cover, and St. Brown and J'Mon Moore he did. Throw in Madison at guard and that's a fine haul. And the Packers also picked up the top punter with an average hang time of 5 secs.

Who knows? maybe Clay and Perry will stay healthy next year, and maybe Biegel will actually be ok! It's a position they can draft next year.

My favorite pick: the extra 1st next year and Jackson.

1. Jaire Alexander
2. Marquez Valdes-Scantling

Really though, the trades at the front end were the real MVP. We got a 2019 1st rounder and then gave up 3rd rounder, just to move down four spots. Absolutely made New Orleans look silly for giving up so much more for only four spots.

But I really wish we could have gotten Arden Key, which I know was speculated to be the plan before Oakland trade ahead of us.

That guy is the most natural pass rusher I've ever seen in terms of fluidity and bend. Like water around the edge.

I like the picks at CB especially and the draft picks overall. I think Alexander in the slot, with King and Jackson on the outside could be formidable. With Tramon Williams in dime packages and providing mentorship, the secondary (on paper) is drastically better than last year. The number of hybrid defenses is intriguing. 4-2-5, with King, Jackson, Alexander, Ha-Ha, and Josh Jones (DBs). Martinez and Matthews or Burks (hope he becomes a starter quality), with Matthews/Perry, Wilkerson, Clark, and Daniels along the front. That's a much improved defense, with quality depth. Also, it would be nice if the Packers could inquire about Tre Boston joining GB, he would be an upgrade over Jones and Hawkins.

People need to pump the breaks if they think Tramon is going to be our dime CB this season. Realistic expectations peeps

Yeah. I mean, we'll probably start the year with King and Williams on the outside and Alexander on the inside. It'll take quite a bit to displace Williams. More likely that King gets displaced tbh.

All the receivers look to have a lot of potential

Isn't that we we say about all our day 3 WRs

If you figure 1 in 3 will pan out draft three. We did it last year with RBs and may have gotten lucky and hit on at least 2. Maybe we should have taken 1 more CB in 2015 since Randall and Rollins don't seem to be cutting it.

Hunter Bradley was the best pick. Just because I like to see people go into uncontrolled meltdowns on twitter, angrily pounding on the keyboard.

I hear you. I really do? However, it also isn't realistic to expect a 35 year old small-ish CB to hold up for 16 games, let alone significantly contribute to the defense. I think it was a "coming home" move for T. Williams, he plays, he mentors, he retires; ingratiating himself into the Packers organization. He is in the twilight of his career and its time to plan for the next phase.
