I know none of you want to accept that d line is what makes or breaks a defense. But if the bears 8-3 don't tell you then you will never understand. Thats all they have. And mack. And they are destroying the nfc central.

Wilkerson, Clark, Daniels were in and we were winning. Wilkerson goes down and we start losing. Daniels goes down and we can't pull a win to save the season.

Hopefully Gute sees this and fixes it.

I'm suspecting that McCarthy will be gone. No way 4-6-1 will be accepted. Hopefully the new coaches will be aggressive and build around Clark and Daniels. Build big fast and strong up front with those early picks.

Online too. Every year its a concern. Takes 2 months to get into form and are always injured...

WTF are you talking about "none of you want to accept"? Pretty much everybody in here knew this Dline was on shaky ground losing those guys.

Most teams will struggle after losing 2/3 of their starting D-line. Especially after 1/2 the starting LBs are on IR along with missing 1/2 the DBs. Starting and playing a lot of waiver wire and PS guys in the back end makes anyone on the DL look bad.

The D Line is what I take to get around town.
I hope it doesn't break down.
That would be a bummer.
Then I have to switch to the O Line and I'm not sure how reliable that is.

When healthy this dline is the strength of the defense
Clark = stud
Daniels = very good
Wilkerson = looked good before injury
Lowry and Adams were nice depth now forced to start.

This team needs a retooling of the DLine. I've been saying for at least 3 years we need to go back to a 4-3. It's not easy finding those caliber of players sitting around in FA without dropping big bucks. Daniels and Clark inside could be the centerpiece if we can just find some bookends to pair with them.

With respect to the 34 and 43 I'd say look at what the league is doing and then do the opposite. Also you dont have to be completely wedded to a scheme, you can always mix and match concepts depending on your personnel and their strengths. Hybrid scheme for the win.
