People can say what they want about whether they like the move or not, but one thing is for sure. Gutekunst isn't messing around with problem players. HHCD has expressed his desire to play elsewhere, gets the boot. Montgomery causes problems, gets the boot.

I stated earlier this season HAHA was trying to get his...he was playing selfish and gambling on ints. He was vacating his responsibility trying to jump and guess routes leaving other guys hung to try. Mainly the corners. When you’ve watched, played, and coach football this long you notice these things. There were several times this season I saw where he didn’t play what the coverage was designed for him to be at...and like clock work guys running wide open in his area. The play where King got “beat” on the touchdown against the Lions made me want to break my tv! HAHA left his zone and ran over and tried to jump what he thought would be a fade route and it was an easy TD for Stafford. Smh stuff like that is why the Packers lose guys and then they go elsewhere and become studs...they aren’t held accountable enough. Glad he’s gone tbh. Breeland or Josh Jones Moving to FS.

It does really seem like a wait for the other shoe to drop move. I know his statements about not being here next year probably angered the Packer brass, but even though i’ve never been a haha fan... he was our best safety.

Depend on how many Free agents we sign, probably would have gotten a 4th or a 5th round compensatory pick just letting Dix walk at the end of the year, more money off the Packers books to sign....???

"Great" depth at S now.....Jones, Brice, Whitehead and Greene.

Have to wonder if Dix's latest comments sealed that deal?

There had to be some kind of disgruntled or mistrust with HaHa im ignorantly assuming. You don’t trade your best safety for a middling pick in the middle of the season when you’re supposed to be a contender, right?

HaHa is one of the most overrated players in the league, and is only well known because of his name.

There was no way the Packers were re-signing him after the season. Would have liked to gotten a third, but oh well.

You all are crazy, getting a 4th rd pick for a guy that was not going to be on the team next year is a steal.

Also I believe this is also a cleaning house trade. Getting rid of disgruntled players.

Dix has been a punk for a while now, the only difference between him and Randall is that Randall called out coaches and Dix called out teammates.

Yeah kinda feels like Gute jumped the gun here, but it is what it is.

I think people are mad because he was still our best safety on a team that has had poor safety play already and essentially we coulda got similar compensation just from a comp pick from him signing elsewhere in the offseason. It’s almost feels like they’re saying we’re looking forward to next season rather than this one

Calling out coaches and teammates is vastly different, and HaHa only said players need to be held more accountable unless I missed somthing.

Or like you said, either way we would have received the same sort of compensation. So I think Gute and company feels as if it's an addition by subtraction move. Whether or not that turns out to be the case, I'm not sure. But for the Packers to do this, I have to believe that there was more turmoil going on behind closed doors than what we've been privy to.

Yeah had to have been turmoil there for sure. I can’t think of any other reason

It might be nice to see the team mend the occasional fence though. Getting rid of players is cathartic but doesn't really actually help the team on the field come gameday.
