Is he actually gonna sign people tho
My guess is he's going to want to make a splash and I wouldn't be surprised at all if it were at the urging of Murphy. The boat was rocked a bit this past season and nothing would show the fan base they're in it to win it then making a FA splash or two...or three! Hope springs eternal. G P G

I still don't get what Gutenkust offers that Eliot doesn't. And having a better interview doesn't really make sense.

Having a better plan and layout for how he wants to run the organization doesn't make sense when determining who gets the job?

Also what does Wolf offer that Gutenkust doesn't other than his last name? Because it would definitely appear Gutenkust was the more sought after candidate league wide at this point in time

I honestly don’t understand why anyone thinks that Wolf would offer anything more than Gutekunst.

Seriously, I have yet to see anyone pushing for Wolf, provide any reasoning for it. I've seen several posts saying the Packers are really high on him. Well, obviously they are not as high on him as they are on Gutekunst!

The fact of the matter is we were never given a sense of who was responsible for which scouting successes and which failures.

A lot wanted all of this to happen....

I'm. Keeping tabs of who loves the hire... And will keep tabs on who will love the new DC..

When it fails, I'll call them out if they *****.
none of us can truly say one is better then the other, but we can all agree was time for a change. I'm happy for the change unless its the same stockpiling of late round draft picks and aversion to FA's.

Solid move. Now let's bowl a Turkey *** on pace to a 300 game and nail us a stellar DC.

I have a question here....not to be Jonny Raincloud here, but what leads us to believe that this gundenflager who scouted under TT would be any sort of improvement. The teams player personnel decisions and scouting in the last 5 years is a cause for alarm, not bliss. All I am suggesting is that this could be cautionary at best. PROVE IT GUTEKUNST. If he gets our team more Rollins/Randall/Dix guys, he can hit the door too. Now get the hell out of my driveway! Damn kids....:cautious:

Well, Gutekunst does not have much cap to work with unless he's going to make some tough decisions that will be unpopular in some quarters.

There is all kinds of cap room if they do something with either Jordy or Cobb along with Matthews.
