Cheesehead
Wait, were you being sarcastic?
glad somebody else along w/me will be rooting on the eagles! An eagles loss does NO good for the packers.Zero2Cool said:Cheez, that's what I was thinking.
PlayoffStatus.com reports each scenario with the Eagles losing against the Cowboys.
I'm gonna have to go with them. :|
how do you even know that site is credible?
You are correct Jennings85, an Eagles win clinches a first round for New Orleans. Meaning they wouldn't be playing for all of the game.
Too Funny. I hope it was the pizza guy and not the Net Police.its easy
ya see
oh someones at the door, gotta go, bye

You didn't know the Eagles and Giants were in the same division, and you're offering playoff scenarios?all about da packers said:There in the same division now? :|
God, I'm so tired and lost.

Ok, can you logically explain that for me, please??

Simply put, an Eagles win cliches the #2 seed for New Orleans. As you know, they play Carolina next week. So maybe they wouldn't play their starters for the entire game.

I know Panthers vs Saints. I also know we need the Panthers to lose and playing against the Saints non starters does not increase that happening.
There are only two cases where the Saints losing to the Panthers helps the Packers out of five cases. And each of those two cases involved a lot more in them than the other three. Why root for that?
Playoff Spot #6
Case 1
Packers beat the Bears, and
Redskins beat the Giants, and
Falcons beat the Eagles
Case 2
Packers beat the Bears, and
Redskins beat the Giants, and
Panthers beat the Saints
Case 3
Packers beat the Bears, and
Redskins beat the Giants, and
Vikings beat the Rams
Case 4
Packers beat the Bears, and
Cowboys beat the Eagles, and
Falcons beat the Eagles, and
Saints beat the Panthers, and
Vikings beat the Rams
Case 5
Packers beat the Bears, and
Giants beat the Redskins, and
Eagles beat the Falcons, and

Rams beat the Vikings

A loss by the Giants, coupled with a win for us, and a Panther win lets us get in as the #6 seed.
Okay, well I hope the thinking behind this thread bears out to be true... cause Philly just thumped the 'Boys..
Canadian packer said:I was just on the NFL website it states... That if the packers win and the giants win... The packers get in. The Eagles win increased the packers strength of scheldule. I don't know how because the Giants play eagle twice. It also helps that the bears won on Sunday.
Is this right because before this game I thought the only way the packers got in was a giant loss

wow, way to go Eagles!!! Now the packers have a better chance because the saints don't have anything to play for against the Panthers, who are still alive so they will play hard!!! The packers chances just increased after tonights game.
obviously yes, the giants losing has been a must for the last month now.Jennings85 said:wow, way to go Eagles!!! Isn't that only good if the Giants lose to the Redskins though?
to get in this way would be an absolute one in a million chance.......you would need teams green bay has beaten this season to win, including the lions, which we know it's not realistic to say the lions would win against anybody.Canadian packer said:I was just on the NFL website it states... lol, what holy nfl.com doesn't tell you is what it would take for the packers strength of victory to be better than the giants.......they are so far behind right now it's not even funny.Don't gotta be a jerk about it man.Jennings85 said:obviously yes, the giants losing has been a must for the last month now.Zero2Cool said:Jennings85 said:wow, way to go Eagles!!! They can win and the Packers can get in, according to NFL.com but who really wants to trust THAT website?
1) GB win + NYG win + GB clinches strength of victory tiebreaker over NYG
I'm not 100% positive, but I think for strength of victory we need the Jets to lose vs the Dolphins which we beat this year.
