You're right, I am pissed.

Nobody is denying you the right to be pissed about it mate, we just can`t do anything about it either way. We just have to hope our guys can step up on Sunday.

We could spend all day pointing out "sportsmanship" and examples of unsportsmanship, but the point is, both happen...even with Clay Matthews (see video below). Plays like the hit on on Jordy are a part of football and if you want to label every guy who is on the giving end a cheap shot artist and an SOB, then the NFL is full of them, intentionally or unintentionally.

I never called anyone a SOB and yes I understand that cheap shots happens in football. Oh and everyone knows how dirty seattle plays we can go all day on that. My point was it was intentional and cheap that's it. Your making it seem like the hit was nothing I guess you would have to feel the difference of being hit with a helmet and being hit with a shoulder pad to understand what im talking about.

I don`t think he meant you with the SOB remark. Feelings are understandably running high, but it happened and the ref didn`t flag it. Hey, we won despite it, so revenge was served.

If Jordy plays this weekend, I will be shocked. But they are talking like he could be? Maybe it wasn't as bad as thought? I don't think so, but maybe

I apologise for offence but I am in bed reading this on my phone and really had to stifle my laugh. I can't see properly through the tears here. Can you imagine the surgery involved just to GET at those ribs to take them out ??? even if that were humanly possible ??? and have him healthy for Sunday.
I'm not sure why that's funny Buggs but you're right. It's so utterly ridiculous it's histarical. Funny part is I read it earlier also and it didnt hit me until right now!! :p

I don't understand how you guys watch one of our best players get his insides crushed by a cheap shot and likely end our SB hopes, and be so nonchalant.
Who said we are non chalant! I'm meeting with the Govenor of NY tomorrow morning and then heading to the court room to file suit! If I could only get Jordy to press charges on that turd we can make a plea agreement to take one of his ribs and some skin to patch it up. I guess that would be truly getting our "pound of flesh" ;)

Gamesmanship, IMO. Make Dallas have to prepare for the possibility of Nelson.

I'd be shocked if he plays. Pleasantly, don't get me wrong. But shocked nevertheless.

For the folks calling this an intentionally dirty hit, please explain why Leon Hall's arms are both up with his elbows out. Why would a player do this if they were just trying to plant his helmet in Jordy's side? Wouldn't their arms be at their side like a missile?

I'm defending the guy against green & gold tainted allegations. He did hurt Nelson and that can't be glossed over, but there is no evidence to show me that he intended to hurt Nelson. It looks to me like we was trying to knock the ball loose with his helmet (legal) and push Jordy out of bounds at the same time - hence the arms out. Remember that Nelson jumped up AND you are not supposed to hit above the shoulders or below the waist.

As a neutral - I think it's one of those hits that looks bad but was without malicious intent. Any of us who have played contact sports know how fast things happen and sometimes you just throw yourself at the other guy without thinking about what hits where.

Rotten luck for Nelson and the Pack. Let's hope he recovers quickly, he's a great player.

I don't have too many problems with the hit. I think if they want to really get tough on "player safety" they can get rid of a lot of their rules and simpley say, arms must be out to wrap up. I promise, on a play like that, with his arms our to wrap up, his head is up and he either moves it to the side or is more upright when he hits him. Safer for him, safer for the receiver. no more throwing shoulders. Ha Ha will have to find a new line of work most likely, but you can hit a guy as hard as you want to, as long as you are forced to wrap up

Where's a defender supposed to hit a guy? If they get rid of contact, they get rid of me as a fan. you can't go high, any hit around the shoulder pads these days is flagged, you can't make a defender sit and wait for someone to catch it. Go at his legs, he flips over and they throw a flag on that for roughness. Blows my mind when they flag a guy getting tossed backwards and they flip over like it's some aggregious move. Kids 12 and over are doing that regularly without pads every weekend in freestyle wrestling and they all get up every time. anyway.

I don't have a big problem with the hit. I do think they head should be up more or moved to the side. this is all fixed by making them tackle with their arms out, and not like this guy, but out in an attempt to wrap up. you know, like you're supposed to tackle.

Talking of hits, what about those hits on the Dolphin QB this weekend ??? I`m surprised he still had his head on afterwards.

Agreed, very gutsy performance. There's was one hit in particular where I thought he was going to be carried off, but he got up and played on.

Matt Moore hasn't played enough live football recently to realize how quickly he needed to get rid of that football before getting creamed. Clemson's DeShaun Watson took a bunch of big licks from Alabama's defense. That was my first look at Watson, and while he struggled against a very good defense, I felt like the kid showed tremendous heart in continuing to fight.

There was talk on British TV that Miami may get into trouble for breaking protocols by putting him back in too soon.

Label it as you see fit and what helps you to sleep at night, but when a poster starts calling someone an "SOB, dirty player, trying to end someones career", I think he is over reacting as a Packer fan. I'm sure you can pull out tape and watch Clay Matthews and a few others take similar shots on players, but I doubt the poster would see a problem with that, because its a Packer delivering the hit.
Here is the example. Clay Matthews clearly tackling Kaepernick out of bounds (illegal):

What made the play dirty was then slamming Kaepernick's upper body to the ground. Matthews is an immensely talented player, who can absolutely control how he takes down a QB. He was trying to send a message.

LV, I`m not trying to be awkward or start a row, but one of the stills I saw today showed Halls facemask appear to hit Jordy !. It could have been flagged but it wasn`t. Those are the breaks in football. It happened, it`s done and it`s unfortunate, but those are the breaks unfortunately.

So Jordy facemasked him with his ribs? what a dirty player.:)
