That's exactly it, not all fractures are equal and perhaps he'll be able to get it done with a wrap and some padding there.

It has to be only a rib injury. A lacerated spleen, kidney or punctured lung would require surgery or a longer hospital stay. It could be a nondisplaced rib fracture or a contusion. I suspect pain is the limiting factor for playing on Sunday.

Gamesmanship people. I would love if Jordy could play but I don't see that happening at all. Running and breaking routes are hindered by Severe rib damage. Can't twist or turn ...Take that into factor. I think we are more than capable of beating Dallas without Nelson. My suggestion would be to use Monty and Janis at the 4th wr spot and let Michael carry the ball. The addition of Cook allows the Packers to still be very productive on offense without Jordy.

Cobb
Adams
Allison
Janis
Cook
Monty

Is still a very good group to throw the ball to. Especially against that suspect Dallas secondary. Not to mention the guy throwing the ball seems pretty good.

If it's a small break, it could be wrapped up and played with, but even small rib injuries hurt a lot.

If Jordy gets breathing hard, it would really hurt.

I doubt he plays considering pain would limit a lot.

Even if he feels OK to play, I think we still have enough options at wr, and Rodgers is more trusting of Adams etc now, I'd rather give jordy an extra weeks recovery

I know it is after the fact but why was that not an illegal hit leading with the helmet. then I laughed at what the announcers said, he(Giants) may get a letter from the commissioner, heck he knocked out our #1 WR out of the game what good is a letter going to do. Hope Jordy heals and if he plays great if not, I hope he will be ready to play the Seahawks in 2 weeks.
Absolutely. I'm thinking 2 weeks rest after we win the NFC ;)

I doubt that Jordy will play again this season. Broken ribs? Bad injury. The other guys will step up, I'm sure of it. I was very proud of the Packers yesterday, they played a great game. Rodgers SHREDDED the Giants defense and they have a much better defense than Dallas. Pack may score 40+ points. Prescott won't keep up...

Capers had a great game plan yesterday, the defense did an outstanding job.

You knew right away and yet no one else has said anything of the sort. What are Wednesday's lottery numbers?
I seen wicked rib shot with the helmet right away. Seen him seize up right away. The announcer was talking about shoulder hit or something, but I knew it was ribs... Tough is tough, but with ribs, breathing is tough. turning your head is tough. sitting down is tough. Football is impossible.
On the replay you can see how far the helmet goes into his body..... there are supposed to be ribs there.

I don't know??? Can they just take a rib or two out? Is that easy? Like Ronnie lott cutting his finger off to get back in the game? At that point its just a couple flesh wounds instead of a couple ribs clackling around in there.

Wow. Broken ribs. I have never broken mine but I have had bruised ribs and even those hurt. The worst is that they hurt every time you take a breath. I would be surprised if he plays next week. Even laying down and sleeping can be painful.

Hope the best for him.

I broke one a couple winters ago, and it hurt from sternum to spine. It took me 15 minutes to roll over. I was a sloppy mess for a few weeks.

Here's my take:

Don't play Jordy, even if he can practice Saturday, but have him participate as if he were playing.

a) it keeps the cowboys guessing and preparing for Jordy to play.

b) it will keep the 'mo-jo' that this offense is feeling alive. Sometimes i think Rodgers gets inside his own head too much, and not having Jordy could be more mental than physical at this point for this offense.

Just keep Jordy near the offense (when not rehabilitating) and A-rod but don't play him. If we win we'll see how his status is for next week. If we lose then his body begins healing early.

Can you give the cliff notes version? Periera said it was illegal why was he wrong?

He did not use crown of the helmet. Front of helmet hit him. Its why 2 refs 5 yards away looking right at it did not flag it. Plus the defender lowered himself and hit middle of the body. There 20 minute tape by the NFL showing legal and illegal hits. I think Periera was wrong.

I apologise for offence but I am in bed reading this on my phone and really had to stifle my laugh. I can't see properly through the tears here. Can you imagine the surgery involved just to GET at those ribs to take them out ??? even if that were humanly possible ??? and have him healthy for Sunday.
