Holy crap
Ridgers is aiming to get himself suspended and have the Packers lose draft picks. He freely admitted to wilfully dosrrgarding the league protocol for unvaccinated players and pointed the finger at the team as well. Well, on a positive note, at least Rodgers admitted he took medication for head lice and was able to get rid of the lice after he grew his hair long. I aleays felt that Rodgers learned from Favre how to not throw a ton of interceptions by flinging the ball into the secondary at a whim. I hope Jirdan Love learns from Rodgers how to not be viewed as a dishonest moron.

Care to share the reasoning behind your views on that? I'm not sure either way, he seems to be liberal at times (when he condemned the fan who shouted out the anti-Muslim slur at a game) but then he seems SUPER conservative when you hear him talk about vaccines and "cancel culture" or the "woke mob".

By the way, nobody who gets to go on a show listened to by hundreds of thousands should be complaining about "cancel culture".

So no one should mention cancel culture unless they’ve already been cancelled and thus no longer have a platform.

That’s convenient!

As a vaccinated healthcare worker, I have 10x more respect for Aaron Rodgers than I did this morning, this past summer and 5 years ago. Aaron Rodgers has used his platform for something that a high percentage of healthcare workers have wanted to voice for quite some time.

You would be surprised by the # of us that were pressured into getting a vaccine that quite frankly we have seen first hand is not necessarily doing what is being shared in the media. I by NO MEANS am an anti-vaxxer. I am someone who had the adult mumps because of anti-vaxxers and I resent that.

In the case of the COVID-19 vaccination, there is an uncomfortable amount of false reporting and most importantly hiding of critical truths regarding the vaccine. The entire healthcare system has been effected by politics when it comes to this vaccination. Important facts and studies have been hidden from people since the beginning of this pandemic. As one of the few females on this forum, I encourage you all talk to the under 40 ladies in your lives about the Moderna vaccine and see what side effects they have had. 80% of women that received the Modern vaccine are experiencing extreme menstrual side effects that are not being shared with the general public. Those that have suffered from Lyme disease and/or babisosis are having severe cases of pericarditis from the vaccine. This is real stuff and I commend Rodgers for using his platform to voice this kind of thing. It has turned completely political without a care for sharing the truth about personal health considerations.

Again, I have to reiterate that I am not an anti-vaxxer and I have been vaccinated. I am just sharing that there are real risks associated with the vaccine that are being hushed to push a political agenda. I do not agree with everything Rodgers said by any means, but his point about personal health concerns and the politics at play are spot on.
excellent post. thank you.

Who cares if he misled people, the people that NEEDED to know knew. Sorry he didn’t feel the need to pander to those who would crucify him one way or the other.
You okay with losing a draft pick?

It think you just proved his point about being attacked by woke or cancel culture mobs.

Just to clarify there anti vaxxers who are against all vaccines and there are those who are not against vaccines but have many questions unanswered and will not just take whatever the government tells them to--should be given a choice like the flu shot. Are we going to call everyone not taking the flu shot irresponsible?

Hooray, you just compared two completely things to try and make some point that fails miserably when anyone who thinks rationally examines it! First, covid is far more deadly than the flu. Two, "won't take whatever the government tells them to" is completely ridiculous because I am 100% sure that the VAST majority of those whining about the covid vaccine didn't research any of the numerous vaccines they got in school before getting those vaccines, or even understand what's in Tylenol. Third, I'm baffled as to what other evidence people need since it's been shown that the covid vaccine only lasts a few weeks in your system before breaking down and being destroyed by the body's immune system; there's literally nothing IN the body from the vaccine to have a long term effect aside from the antibodies that are naturally produced by the body. That is a difficult concept to understand though when you don't trust experts or doctors who understand how the body functions and prefer to believe politicians and podcast hosts.

If you think Rodgers is going to be cancelled, no wonder you fall for the "cancel culture" bit each time.

To my knowledge, Rodgers has not had any menstrual side effects to date. You can voice your own opinion on the pros and cons of being vaccinated, but don't pretend to speak for all health care workers. If you don't believe the pros outweigh the cons then you are probably a bed pan changer in a hospital.

So you don't think media members should count as people? Weird take since I've never actually met a non-human sports reporter.

The major problem around this issue, to me, is that both sides feel convinced and supported in their positions by their sources and evidence, and neither side trusts the other’s sources.

So Side A says “I believe X and here’s my link.”

Side B says “That link is crap! Only a moron would believe that. I believe Y and here’s my link.”

And Side A responds “How could you be so stupid as to believe such a biased source?! You’re as dumb as [insert whatever group they really despise]!”

And it’s just an impasse.

One of the main roots of this problem is that sources of information have become so politicized in what they choose to share vs not share, and how they choose to share it.

So there’s not so much an unwillingness to trust expertise as an unwillingness to trust honesty.

For instance, I 100% believe that Fauci understands disease control and pathology a thousand times better than I do. But he’s lied so many times and even admitted it that I don’t know when what he is saying is true and should be followed vs when it’s a lie intended to manipulate my behavior. So I just tune him out. WHO, same thing. They’ve undermined their own institutional credibility,

I’m sure it’s a bit sometimes. It’s also a very real phenomenon. Extremely aggressive progressives with heavy online presence do push for people to get deplatformed for thinking or voices views that they don’t like.

I don’t think Rodgers will get cancelled. But it’s not like he’s bringing up a fake trend. It’s a very real thing.

why do some people always resort to personal attacks?
it's how their conditioned minds respond. It makes the other view points less relevant. In fact, not even worthy of any consideration, let alone the possibility that there might be even a tiny bit of truth let alone a whole bunch. Watch how they pounce when anything outside the narrative is mentioned, even in a very non confrontational manner such as this woman did.

Doesn't matter, they must demean the other, because they think it makes them appear more intelligent. or something?

I heard he was pissed because the fact that he was not vaqccinated was leaked. No...people put two and two together which equaled you were not vaccinated. It was the protocals for those that tested postive which gave it away,
That is not something that remains hidden unless you are a practice squad player.

Why exactly would they lose draft picks? Or be punished at all? Rodgers clearly stated he follows every protocol minus wearing a mask at the podium when he has just tested negative that day in a room of socially distanced, vaccinated personnel wearing masks.

He also said he had immediate discussions will NFL reps after the first instance of this. Not sure what was discussed or if any directives were issued, but he obviously continued doing pressers with no mask. The NFL knew his status, the organization knew his status, yet no punishment. Not sure what to tell you.

Rodgers is a liberal of that there is no doubt.
I would not say that judging by some of his comments today and how he appears to live his life with some privacy. I would call him more of a libertarian. He believes in the best of both but will be against the worst of both. He would be the guy who would join a third party if the other two left him in the cold.

LOL just proves my point again how biased these people are that support this vaccine. They overlook the fact that he is the only one on that Covid list that is not vaccinated and yet want to vilify him for not taking the jab.
I said it earlier but I think a large amount of NFL players are not vaccinated. It wouldn't even surprise me if some are lying about their status. A lot of people agree with Aaron. I think this vax vs anti vax debate has been brewing for a while but Covid 19 elevated the situation to a mainstream talking point.

i think he was very clear. and media members are not people who needed to know.

Why wouldn't other people in a closed room need to know the unmasked person speaking isn't vaccinated? Do media members hold their breath the entire time?
